In S5E10 ("Mother's Mercy"), a despondent and defeated Stannis was executed by Brienne, Ellaria Sand poisoned Myrcella Baratheon, and a confession-seeking Cersei Lannister endured a public walk of atonement before being betrayed and murdered by her brothers of the Night's Watch.

This was so hard to watch in real time. I didn't want to watch the show after this. Happy I continue l continued because season six is probably my favorite season.

2025-09-02 15:52:29 +0000 UTCIf it is any consolation, I was done with this show after this. It was 2 years before I went back to start season 6. A friend convinced me to finish it. I'm glad I did. This was my breaking point with all of it. Season 6 was probably the best season of all.

2025-09-02 03:16:55 +0000 UTCI remember very well seeing Jon murdered. Hard to believe that was 10 years ago. I had not read the books so I had no idea this was coming. I was in complete shock - perhaps even more than after the Red Wedding. And then we had to wait I think two whole years before season 6.
