Ok, finished watching, lots to say... especially for those that didn't grow up in this era hence why I stopped watching to comment on Plan B,I was afraid I'd forget. They've been VERY true to that time. The D&D demon thing did play out in real time. It went more towards music though. Tipper Gore ex wife of former VP Al Gore, made it her personal mission to get all "Satan worshipping" music, like metal and rap, completely banned. The accusations on Satan worshipping was so prevalent. Practically all hard rock/metal was thrown under the bus along with NWA and other gangsta rap. There was more but that was the heart of it. Those lovely warning labels on albums come from then. That bullying scene was also quite true to real life. It was a totally different time back then. We weren't watched as closely as parents watch their kids now, gee, wonder why those parents do watch so hard? LoL I've seen very similar situations play out. Especially at skating rinks back then. All the popular kids hung there to jam skate so you're walking into a situation where you're waaaaaaay outnumbered. Not many would speak up in that situation for fear of becoming the target. Sad but very, very true. Funny you mention GOT. You definitely didn't recognize "Enzo". A girl has no name. Ring any bells? I got a lot of Nightmare on Elm Street vibes. Nancy was named that after the Nancy from that franchise. Even more amusing, Freddy Krueger was played by Robert Englund who just so happens to play the older version of Victor Creel in I think epi 4 or the next one. Loved that tip of the hat, especially having Nancy interact with him. This wasn't the first time they've nodded to Freddy Krueger either in the series as a whole. 80's nostalgia overload. Hell, I've lost track of how many references have been made in 2 episodes alone. By the end of part 1 I was practically foaming at the mouth! I even feel the way Veccna is interacting with those he kills is eerily similar to Freddy. Oh! You questioned why they didn't run. I don't think they can. I think the second they walk away like that it's Veccna controlling them. It's all mind fuckery.

Chrissy wasnt pregnant, she was bulimic. her mom kept taking her clothes out and making comments about how she was overweight. then Fred ran away from a car accident he caused that ended up killing people. the real question is...what is Vecna doing with them? oh my goodness. I am HERE for this season. yes!!! as someone who plays dnd....I am just all giggly over here lol
