Daily Linux & Open Source News - S01E40 - Warp comes to Linux

Comments

That Slimbook is very interesting to me. I'd love to see a review if you can get a demo unit. Thank you!

I'm not a fan of Warp either, but it seems pretty popular, so I decided to mention it. I personally don't need half of the features it has, so I have 0 incentive to use it, and there are FOSS options that suit my need much better!

The Linux Experiment

I cannot get behind Warp, there is no reason they cannot support a user specified encryption key for encrypting data on their servers. Also without it being open source, I cannot trust that they are "doing the right thing". Also the font rendering on Pop!_OS was terrible, very fuzzy.
