I revisited the emo style with a clearer mind compared to yesterday's late-night session.

어제 새벽보단 맑은 정신으로 emo스타일에 대한 수정과 추가를 들어갔음.


For the emo category, I tried to stay somewhat faithful to common types—so the default covers both eyes, while the others reveal just one eye each.

I made a few more types focusing on front hair,

but since it’d be a hassle to organize all the frames and length variations (about 6 types each) including motion support, I’m just showing a screenshot of the Aseprite workspace instead (length is based on shoulder-length).

It was seriously hard to stay conscious in today’s heat. Honestly, I can barely remember what I even did during the day, lol.

I just finished splitting up the facial parts I had previously sketched out as simple pixel art and implementing them into the game.


I didn’t even get around to touching the makeup layer, but the process still ended up taking almost the entire day.

Working on improving parts of the vanilla graphics that I always felt were lacking has actually been quite fun.


I think I’ll feel the same way when I eventually get to outfits like the bunny suit or the nurse uniform.

I think it’s better to keep the hair in a consistent style like this.

Overusing lines tends to make the pixel art look messy due to aliasing, and since I’m already more comfortable with lineless styles, I can get better results that way.
