General release: Porco & Gina (Porco Rosso)

I recently celebrated my tenth year of support on the internet, through various platforms such as Fantia and Fanbox. Each month for those 10 years, I offered exclusive pictures as rewards, starting with just a single picture each month, to now end up with two complete picture sets each month. The time has come to start releasing the oldest of those exclusive pictures to the general public. I don’t think they represent my current skill level or the patronage rewards accurately enough more, and most new supporters vastly prefer having the newer picture sets (and I don’t blame them). So once a month I will publish one former exclusive that has turned ten years old, starting with this picture of Gina and Porco from “Porco Rosso”. I want to take this opportunity to thank all my supporters, past, present and future, for helping me make all this possible. You’re the best! February 2025 Exclusive Picture: Mama (Modest Heroes)

And the big winner of the tenth anniversary poll is the Mama character from the Studio Ponoc film "Modest Heroes". And why not, since she is like the mom we all wish we had. Thank You for Ten Years! (Please read)

Ten years ago, February 2015, was when I first started receiving support and drawing exclusive pictures on the internet. I’ve been on several platform since, but the basic formula has always stayed the same and has proved successful. I have talked before about what I wanted to do to mark the occasion, so now I want to inform you about the timing of when I will post certain things this month. 1. The Exclusive will be posted at the end of this week, as usual. The winner is the “Mama” character from Studio Ponoc’s movie “Modest Heroes”, who won by a large margin. The poll was all about giving characters I’ve only drawn once a second chance. 2. The Twice Is Nice picture will feature Tsukimi Kurashita from “Princess Jellyfish”. She came second in that same poll. This picture will be posted around February 20. 3. Between these two, around February 14, I’ll post a celebration picture, featuring one of my OCs. By popular vote, this character will be the Virgin Mary. At your request (and if you feel comfortable with providing me with your address) you can receive a signed print of this picture for free. I will start accepting applications for the prints after February 15 and the prints will be sent out in March. 4. All three of the pictures mentioned above will be available to any paying members at any level. For this occasion only, there will be no difference between Early Bird, Exclusive or Twice Is Nice rewards. 5. Finally, something I have discussed in the Discord before: starting in February I will begin releasing exclusive pictures which are over ten years old to the general public, one each month. I feel that an entire decade has been long enough to maintain their exclusivity, especially since they don’t really represent my current style or abilities properly any more, and supporters in general prefer the newer image sets instead of the old single pictures (and I don’t blame you). The high-resolution versions however will remain exclusive. So if you’re a new supporter and you are selection your 10 or 20 older pictures, don’t select anything too old unless you really want that high resolution. And that’s all! Over and over again, I want to thank every single one of you. Whether you’re new or have stuck with me for the better part of a decade, you guys have kept me going through good times and bad times. Early Bird: The Secret Gospel 1

An excerpt from “Evangelium Secretum Marci”, a 6th-century Latin translation of a lost Greek original (presumed 1st century), discovered in a rock crevice near Mar Saba. “Forgive me Father, for I have sinned.” Specifically, I’ve used AI to generate the backgrounds in these two pictures. I wanted to have a background in the style of a medieval landscape painting, with that very particular layout that doesn’t rely on natural perspective, and my first thought was to simply use a scan of an existing painting. But then this seemed like the kind of thing AI might actually be useful for (I’m sorry to say I’m not a medieval painter myself). So the figures are hand-drawn, the bench is hand-painted, the backgrounds are AI, and the frames are Photoshopped and substantially altered from an actual medieval manuscript. In the end, it’s more like a collage than artwork, really.
