Weekly Info #4

So the new update is done! Debugging took a lot longer than expected, but at least it's (hopefully)sorted now!

I might use this space to talk about my plans for the next update. I want one more update with just Emily before I start adding new dateable characters (I had a major problem with displaying more than a single character on screen which I didn't have time to fix, but I will in the next update)
I'll be expanding a few of the current storylines, as well as adding a few more ear...

Update 0.3!

Here it is! Had a major error at the last minute, causing me to have to redo much of it, but the main thing is that it's done!

So this update has two scenarios: A cursed idol sequence and a strangely addictive food van sequence. The food van stuff was partially written by someone else. While I might ask for his help in the future, for now at least I feel like it doesn't really send the game in the right direction. So I'll probably redo those sections within the next few updates.

Weekly Info #3

Quite a productive week this week!

Art is almost done (will be done by the end of the day today), writing is done, so I've just got to code it all in and it'll be ready to go! The next update should be out sometime next week.

I will be posting some questionnaires when the update comes out, as part of the dialogue this time around is written by someone else, so I'm interested to hear people's opinions on that.

So there's some more transformations than just weight gain coming in this update. I'll be polling ideas much later for whether to have a bunch of these in the future, or just focus on WG.

Bit of a slow week unfortunately. Had a lot of things to do early in the week which tied me up. Also been having some lethargy issues lately, which severely limit the hours per day I have to get things done. Hopefully that'll go away soon.

Things should be on the up and up next week though. It's like a roller coaster, I have massive drops, but then I go up really high for a bit. I'll probably be cutting these newer sections a little short on content right now. It may not be super notice...

So I think it's time I started providing regular updates as to what I've done, and what I plan on doing.

Currently working on:

Right now, I'm working on a "cursed idol" sequence. Though the first "museum" part of the sequence will have branching paths later (including a confession storyline, where the player admits their fetish to their new girlfriend), right now it mostly focuses on the magical transformation part.

Character creation stream!

So I'm planning on doing a bit of work on future character designs this weekend, and I thought I might just stream it!

Join in and pitch some ideas! And don't worry too much if you miss it, this is more of a "test" to see if people like the idea. I'll draw some characters, play some weird music, maybe chat a little bit (if I can get my mic working properly).

If things go according to plan, I'll be streaming on Saturday from about 9:00 to 3:00 or so.

The next update will mostly be weight gain scenarios for Emily, but I'll be adding more content much more frequently from now on. This just tells me what stuff to prioritise.

So thank you all for being so patient.

Here is a copy of the new stuff. It's much more linear than the previous builds, but that allows me to add a lot more content more frequently (so you're not waiting months between tiny updates anymore).

You can basically only go on a first date with Emily for now, but I'm hoping to add some more scenes throughout the week, so there'll be more content very soon!

A plan for the next week.

So here's the state of the game right now:

I have a lot of scripts ready to go, they just need to be coded in.

I have "enough" art assets to make it work (for now).

I'm a bit behind on coding, but I'm almost done with enough to at least give a sample.

I'm planning on releasing a new version of the game ASAP, as soon as I've finished coding Emily's first date scene. The game won't have too much, but I figure you've all been patient enough, so I want to at least provide ...

Twitter and a health update.

So my ailment I got last week seems to be healing, which is good. Having an ultrasound next week just in case, but it looks like it's probably nothing.

Also got my wisdom teeth out on Monday, so I am really sore right now. At least I don't need my mouth to draw or code though!

I've decided to set up a twitter account to provide small updates. Twitter seems better suited for that than patreon. I'll still announce major updates here though.

Feast Goddess

Had a weird dream last night about a wg puzzle game, where you match rows of food blocks in order to make your opponent gain weight.

This was the final boss of the game, the feast goddess. After drawing her, I really want to try and put her in the game somehow. (will be a while though)

Test stream time!

So for some reason my supporter count is fluctuating wildly, but my donation amount keeps decreasing. That...probably isn't good. Patreon needs to get their shit together.

Fat and Happy Emily: Initial Sketch

So I should probably share more of the WIP stuff here as well. I think this is my favourite picture I'd drawn of Emily.

Essentially, the new version of the game will be more of a story with branching paths leading to different endings rather than the life sim model I was trying before. This new version is easier to write and provides more opportunity for stuff like this.

Weight Gain Transformation Sequences!

So it looks like patreon won't let me change things to a "per update" model. Fantastic. Looks like I'll just have to try and get an update out every month (Which thankfully I was planning anyway) That will mean they are a bit smaller and less polished, but will be more frequent.

So I just had a bit of a different idea for the game.

As a player, you get the ability to reset and try again if things aren't working. So I'm wondering if that should actually be incorporated into the game properly? 

So the idea would be that there is a kind of save scum mechanic built into the story, where your character can reset things a bit. People have been asking for more and more fantastical mechanics, rather than realistic ones, so I might try and lean int...

Character stories!

So now that I'm doing things a little differently, there's opportunity for more distinct stories with the characters.

This is a little vague, but did you have any sort of scenarios you'd like to see?

These can be pretty much anything, some kind of weird magic power, a trip to an unusual place, or something more mundane, like a dinner date at a restaurant.

Not much to report today, mostly been working on commissions. Hopefully will get Patty's dialogue done tomorrow. It's mostly done, but a bit of it needs a touch up. And a lot of people have been asking me to proofread a little more, so I'll double check everything to make sure it all makes sense!
