As he tries to find a way to soothe wounded egos and salvage what appears to be a team concept dead on arrival, he suggests checking out a fire at a nearby lab, leading to an investigation of a far greater scope than they realized.
Chapter 11 of A LIfe Changing Encounter, in which Lyanna and Ashara, while wondering why exactly Jon and the others' vacation keeps getting extended, are thrust into a life or death situation when a figure from one of the latter's legal cases comes knocking, all while Rhaegar, still searching for Daenerys, Rhaenyra, and Shiera, reminisces about the last time he was in King's Landing and I try to see how many How I Met Your Mother references I can fit in a single chapter.
Chapter 22 of Delightful Duty, in which Rhaenyra, Jon, and the others continue to try to come to terms with Laenor's death, while Qarl writes his last confession, the beleaguered couple discuss everything that's happened and the guilt Jon feels, and they hold the funeral while Rhaenyra wonders just what her father's impending visit will mean for them all.

Chapter 21 of Delightful Duty, in which Qarl is brought in for questioning, Raylon scrambles to escape the hornet's nest he unwittingly kicked, Daemon and Rhaenys fly to the capital and inform Viserys of what's happened, and Alicent rages at Rhaenyra.
As a side note, this chapter contains a tribute to my favorite scene from one of my favorite fanfics of all time: The Blacks and the Greens by SweetestPopcorn.
