It's not IG-996, but same model. After learning about the drone from Luger, Loammi reprogrammed this one to have the same hunt and retrieve protocols as the one on Strix 13.

I was originally gonna' have more exposition, but I think the message is clear that these two took some time to bond and become better friends during the time it took to fly from the Inclinstation to Hubworld.

The adventurers journey to help the militia do not end how they expect (but end exactly how YOU expect), but their escape takes a curious detour as they enter their first actual dungeon.

I can safely say this is where the story actually gets interesting.  XD
Not only are the players and I better at figuring out how to play, but the editing is better also.

What's the situation with The Final Dragon?

This version of The Final Dragon was conceived as a fun experiment where I map out the story to a precise page count, commission a great fantasy illustrator and concentrate more on the writing. What happened is Kevin was hit hard by RL turmoil. I mean real demoralizing stuff. He still wants to commit to illustrating, but realistically we can't have a webcomic update with several weeks inbetween comics...

That's why I'll be illustrating The Final Dragon, and allowing some liberties that I could...

Here Timbo will bring up the Catagas and how he'd like to visit their system. Rak brings up questions about Canters being at the Inclinstation, among other things.

Deep in the almost entirely evacuated Inclinstation hangar bay, Rak laments how there's a severe lack of ships capable of far reaching travel that he requires.
To the Canter's surprise, Timbo appears out of no where. Rak's mechanical ally says he got a body thermal scan update; that's how Timbo found him.
Timbo enthusiastically guesses what happened:

1. Rak took all the sovs so he can pay his debt to Mut'la

Part Four: The Dastardly Song of Din the Drow (Dungeons & Dragons)

This is pretty much the "boss fight" of our first sit down with DnD.

As vicious a boss fight can be when everyone is at level 1.  XD

It was a fun experiment and basically was a big tutorial for all of us. We've already played our second sit down and I can safely say that's where the real story begins. We also learned a lot from our first game, so the level 2 portion will be a lot easier to listen to (hopefully).

New Coven Pin (comes with upcoming Kickstarter)

Progress on the Kickstarter for our new book, Accursed Dragon: The Infernal Dragon is coming along!
I thought I'd preview the new pin that's going to be accompanying it.  :D

There will be a pledge tier just for the book and a separate tier for the book and this pin. Only a limited number will be available, but our $10 Patreon pledgers will automatically receive one regardless.

The Inclinstation is utterly, completely inoperable. We see the aftermath inside as a Canter agent reports the damage. General Gowler (who has only appeared in one previous strip, so I don't expect anyone to remember him) explains this valuable asset of theirs, which mined information from influential individuals from all over the universe, is lost to the Canters forever.

The agent asks why not recreate the station, but Gowler states the "borrowed" Catagas technology cannot be reversed enginee...
