Packing again - leaving for Adelaide Fringe in the morning.

I pack a lot of tea it makes me feel at home when I travel.

I sort of have a problem with procrastinating and am now just laying down with a hair mask in.

First gig is on the 14th so I better scoot myself over there no matter what tomorrow !

Shibari Shoot

A collection of images form a shoot I did with Garth Knight that took upwards of 6 or 7 hours. It is a work of art. My personal experience with Garth was very liberating. It was intense, I had never done shibari before and was very new to the scene. I found it a way to reclaim my body by actively relinquishing control. Sub space is paradoxical. BTS a day off at fringe

Today I woke up at 11am and eventually made coffee.

I am getting directly back into bed to drink it and write.

My body is very sore from doing shows and not properly warming up but Perth fringe is going really well. Happy to be here ☺️

Upgraded my gloves, broke my nail 😔

We open tonight and I was doing a quick costume check before I headed in and oops ! I broke a nail !

I know it seems like nothing but my nails are already short so that means climbing silks and playing piano will be ou by tonight.

All that being said, the gloves look great and the costumes still fit (barely) and tonight should be a wonderful time opening in Perth for fringe :)

The Shakespeare Hotel Shoot

The OG shoot for Wonderfully Terrible Things was at the Shakespeare hotel in Surry Hills shot by photographer James Broadhurst.

It was never meant to be a wtt shoot… basically I did a whole other shoot on Lyra (aerial hoop) for the cover and it didn’t work as the album cover.

I reached out to James and asked if I could buy one of the photos from his shoot and he laughed and gave it to me. Very sweet ❤️

Opening Music Speaks and Rouge for Glenelg Winter Arts was incredibly challenging yet heartwarming. Despite a chaotic morning searching for my passport in every case of unpacked costumes I owned (which ended up being a coffee casualty), the support from friends and fellow artists who rallied to drop off last-minute costumes was truly uplifting.

The hero image for my EP was shot in the Shakespeare Hotel in Sydney with James Broadhurst.

WE also did some studio shoots and played a lot with light and props.

Pollinators : Bee Shibari Detail

Some detail from another intense 6 hr tie.

Currently I perform a shibari vocal act for Rouge, but it is incredibly simple compared to these ties.

Also yes… I did get rope burn on my nipple.

BTS and Detail

This is an unreleased raw image from a shoot I did for an exhibition called "Pollinators”

Multiple ties for multiple shoots were done to create the shots that have been layered with flowers by the artist to create this work.

I grappled with weather to share this work as the artist has since come under scrutiny many years after I did these shoots.

It is hard to speak out. I respect any woman who does so. I not undermining anyone’s lived experience.
