[GG] Special Preorder Postcard

This is the final design for the new preorder postcard. The first 100 people who order G&G volume 2 will get one :)

[GG] Henry + Robert

Now that you know about them from the storyboard: here are Henry (12/13) and Robert (13/14).

I'm thinking about doing a bonus short comic about how they met and making it available for the $5-patrons. I wanted to put it in the printed volume 2, but there's not enough time to finish it before it goes to print.

They are opposites and I like their dynamics. It's also nice for a change that Robert isn't as soft as my other boys! :)

Maybe you remember them from last years' posts.

Last week I wrote 13 pages of finished script for it, maybe it's going to be the short comic I've been wanting to do this year. It's a compact story with a difficult topic. I hope I can do it justice.

Sad boys all over. (I have to draw an animal all comic long though, I still have to beat my unwillingness about that, haha.)

Julian is a bit older here. This probably wouldn't be a healthy thing. But neither are Satoshi/Phil, Julian/Phil, Piet/Linus. 

Some of these couples can be taken more seriously, but Satoshi and Julian doesn't go anywhere since I fail building a strong bond between them. So I'll put this in the archives. (even though it tickles me to to explore them a bit further)

Rant:
I'm tired of having the sketches scheduled, but I don't want to spam randomly and I also don't want to put everything out on Twitter etc. right after I drew it. It's also nice to actually have several posts scheduled for a whole month or so. I'm majorly conflicted! ノಠ_ಠノ
When I draw something, I'm usually pretty pumped about it and want to show it to everybody right...

Hmmm ... older Julian (around 16) and Adrian (~22).

I like their contrasting personalities. Adrian is rough and insensitive. Julian is an overall delicate, fun and attentive guy.

Daily or weekly?

Hello, hello, hello,

for the final pages of G&G chapter 4 - would you prefer single page/daily posts or more pages at once/~weekly updates here?
Did the single storyboard pages felt spammy? Or was it a nice routine? Just checking how you like it best :)

The final pages will be available for the $5-tier as usual.

[GG] Chapter 4 | Progress: Comic Pages 100%

WHOOP! 58 colored pages are done. I sent the last couple of pages to my translator this morning.

I started storyboarding this chapter in september 2018, so it took ~5 months to finish it. There were some breaks for jobs inbetween, so maybe 3 months? I don't have the exact time recording because I was trying different time tracking websites/apps. (Currently testing out Paymo which works perfectly for my needs! Not free though.)

I don't think I've shown her before? If I have, please ignore this post.
This is Johanna, Matheas roommate.

She doesn't play a role in GG, but she exists, haha. She's tall, quiet and always sleepy. The ice queen kind of girl. They get along ok.

She's either the same age as Thea or a little older. I imagine her dropping deep (and depressing) philosphies from time to time, leaving a devastated Thea behind.

(Sorry for jumping around chapter 4, future!Piet+Levi and random ch...

Ok, here is something different. This is one the few (spoiler free) texts I dare to show you. It's in German only, I'm very sorry!

It's about Piet and Levi as kids, or rather about their dad Jens (+mom Alexandra), referring to the bathroom sketch I posted earlier (even though they're not as happy in the text). It shows a bit of their family dynamic.
