( As discussed in a previous update, the poll's moved forward, and is a day shorter. More time for drawing, more value for you lovely lot :) )
Wassup wassup wassuuuup, it's time for another loosely themed monthly poll! This time we're all about summery things. I dare you to say that any of these *aren't* summery!
Two patron-suggested ideas this time, very cool! I mean hot! Summer!

Turns out becoming a cobra gives you some additional abilities, that are too good not to try out on your unwitting friend.
( I'll be honest, i much prefer the face on this version :) )

Hey everyone, welcome to an extra hausted update! This time i've got a snakey update and and a historic werewolf, hidden beneath a couple paragraphs of blurb.
Firstly, I want to explain the title - I think i'm hitting some burnout right now, what with house stuff and drawing and work all piling up. Not necessarily bad, since house and work are progressing fine and the Cheetah sequence commission I put out has done really well (currently my most favourited thing ever on FA). Though...

Heya, just a quick update here from your local deer. I've just finished the rough sketch for the monthly artwork, and I wanted to share it in case you were wondering where it was. I've been feeling a bit guilty that we're nearly all the way through June and it's not done.
What do you think? I'll be adding some dialogue at some point, sssuitably sssnakey too. I am still on track to finish it before the month is out, so you new $3 friends will have your alts, dangit! ( I'm definitel...

This month was, for a time, a real close one! Then smokey snakey gal really took off and I survived another month without needing a tie breaker ;p
So, i'm gonna get started on this in the next couple of days.
As always i'll do a nude version, and i'm thinking a hypno alt where she's tempting the viewer to join her... does anyone have other suggestions for the alt versions?

This time on Art Explained, I want to go through how I do most of my fur pattern shading.
Disclaimer: I don't think this is the best way to do it, but it works for me so i'm sharing. One day i'll crack the technique shown in this timelapse (that I also shared last time) of doing monochrome shading and drawing colour on top.
However, I find this techni...

Hey everyone, welcome to another update - this time i've got two pretty neato WIPs to share and some life updates :)
First up, lets talk art! Fresh off my Biggest Dragon Ever for Pheagle, i've been working on my Biggest Commission Ever for TheGriff - a multi-character comic featuring Zatanna and Cheetah from DC:

Got lots of good themes going on, i love me some feline TF, hypno...

No theme this time, other than "i'm desperately trying not to make every option involve WG, honest" but that's not a catchy title now is it :P

Hey everyone, welcome to another fortnightly update! This time i've got a couple of WIPs to share, a cool plant pic and i'll be asking for poll ideas too.
So lets get started with the art stuff - firstly, the patreon monthly art has gone down super well online, and i'm really stoked :) it's even drawn in a bunch more Doe Public patrons (though a couple have since cancelled). It's really awesome to be supported like this, and i'm super motivated to keep putting effort i...

Hey and welcome back to another fortnigthly update! Got some good WIPs to share this week, and i'd love your thoughts on one of them. And instead of a plant update, how about a house update? Honest, the post's title will make sense!
So first up, i've just finished the sketch for this month's Patreon artwork - and i think i've done an alright job at the computer mouse's design:

Wow, didn't expect that one! Computer Mouse has won by a count of 8 and lead of 3 points seeing off Khajiit Barmaid. As usual, my dead cert pick (dog selfie, it's a classic) didn't win and i kinda love that i can never call it - thanks everyone for your vote :)
Any suggestions for Alt versions?

This time on Art Explained, i'll be talking about how easy it is to make half-decent shirt patterns using Blending Modes.
1: Shade the clothing
Admittedly the hardest bit, but really it doesn't matter how you do it - since the blended pattern is going to use this for it's own shadow and light it'll 'fit in' no matter what.
2: Draw the pattern
The colours you'll use here depend on the blending mode you're using. Soft Light can use light and dark, but i regularly use...

Every monthly poll has to have a theme, that's just the rules (until it's not) and this time, that theme is Technology! Pieces of plastic making people of flesh into animals of fur ;)
Thanks to Sebastian Camber for suggesting an idea this time :)

Heyo, how's it going my fellow May-experiencers? Hopefully this month is gonna be pretty great - the UK's gonna be easing it's lockdown a bit more and i'm gonna be staying inside by choice to draw more ;p
Currently i'm working on my biggest commission in ages, a four stage WG TG comic - here's a sneak peek! (sorry that it's so loooooong)

Hey all, how's it hanging? It's been a pretty eventful week here in Miltonland: i turned 26 on Monday, I got my first haircut of 2021 on Tuesday* and i've just gotten back from a lovely woodland walk with some friends. Feel's like life's back to normal a little bit, and so has my art output!

Righto, the Elephant lady TF won the monthly poll! 7 Votes to 6 against Sekhmet, with the other two options trailing further behind.
I'll get to work drawing a lady remembering what her tablets were for while she becomes a big ol' heffalump gal - and my question for you is: what theme do you reckon we could stick in an alt version?

This time on Art Explained, i'm going to expose (if it wasn't already obvious) how I cheaply draw a bunch of faces and then (hopefully) convincingly hide it.
Clip Studio Paint and Photoshop both have the ability to reflect your pen strokes, imma guess that other digital art tools do too - but i use CSP so I know to whip out the Symmetrical Ruler.

Depending on how much you want to hide the cheatiness, you can just use this when sketching ...

Anyways, art things! I've been getting back into the art groove. Recently finished March's Poll winner (just in ...

I'm here to share my elation that after 4 months i've actually finished the lineart for the second half of that dragoness TF sequence. I didn't want to put it in the bi-weekly update AGAIN but i still wanted to share :) Just gotta do the shading now...
I think if I do sequences in future they'll either be in commissions with the pressure of payment, or sketchy (like that Toriel one i did)...

Heya, quick poll for you :)
It's been suggested to me a couple of times that to increase the value of my Patreon i could add exclusive art. While i'm reluctant to lock full pieces behind the paywall, one thing that would be totally doable is alternative version(s) of the monthly Patreon Poll Winner, added to the $3 tier.
My question for you all is - what should the alt. version(s) be? Feel free to select multiple options or give your thoughts in the comments :)

Hey everyone, hope you're all keeping well. It's been a really busy week for me outside of art - i'm prepping for a job interview on Tuesday that'll be a boost in responsibility and salary, so the pressure's feeling pretty high to succeed; and if that wasn't bad enough, my housemate's looking to buy a house which means I also have to do that. It's a whole lot but hopefull...

This time on Art Explained, i'm gonna go over the simple-but-effective (i think) hedge effect i did in the background of a recent pooltoy portrait commission.
1: Base Colours
First off, i eyedrop tool'd the colours off of a photo reference (via an image search for: "poolside") and used a turnip pen to splat them down.
2. Gradient
Using the airbrush tool (what i use for my main ...
