Crushing Force 8-13-2021

Woooo!!  The project finally has a title!  Now I can actually call it something besides "OC Mugen".  I'm gonna list the updates that I remember below.  I didn't make an Ikemen build this time but You can port over the characters to Ikemen if you want to.  If you do so remember the skunks have a different def file to use in select.def.

Minimum Panda Lv3 Super

Stance Redo

I ran into problems the other night by drawing the sprite too big and having frames out of order.  So I've edited those problems, scaled down the image, and incorporated it so now we should be fine.

Akai R. Panda - 02 August 2021

The latest version of him that has the grinds added.  Play wise he feels quite good.  Replace this version of Akai with the versions you already have and make sure it's not a folder within a folder.

Grind (Back)

DONE!!!  That's all 8 animations for his seated follow ups.  This mechanic is fully animated now.  Next I'm gonna work on some miscellaneous animations for him.

Grind (Front)

Akai can tire his opponent out by grinding on their face/body.  Giving him FOUR options for his chain sit which was always the plan.  Gonna test a few more things then upload him for y'all to try him.

Mainly changes to Akai of course.  Who is starting to feel more and more complete.  I like playing him so that's a good sign.   I'll list what I remember about changes below:

Akai Crossbody

I added this move on Friday but I wanted to polish it with more frames today.  This fun little move is his new overhead out of running stance.  It has a slow start up but is pretty safe if they just block it.

Eating (Back)

Sometimes he just needs to regain health, and instead of doing it out in the open  so he could get punished.  Sit on  your opponent first and then get the snack in.  

Akai now has 3 options for his sitting mechanic.  Last one is a meter drain option, which will be grinding probably.   Not sure I wanna animate that next though since these sitting options are kinda draining.

Eating (Front)

Akai will have the choice and ability to eat to recover health if you choose it.  I didn't feel like animating what he's eating so I'll have to do another sprite for that later on.

Now his run has more option.  This was quite easy to make frames for since its not a lot of motion.

Akai Crouching Roundhouse (Sweep)

Akai now has all his normals!!!  Also when he lays down he's projectile immune.  And you can just hold that spot if you like.

I didn't like the original portrait for Akai and I finally replaced it.  I do not have any ideas for what to do with Akai's supers.  I may work on something else for a bit till and idea hits me.

Aroma Akai Batch - 07-21-2021

Aroma has a new super: D, DB, B,  x + z

Akai has a lot more sense last time, but it may feel like minor since its not a new move.  He has two follow ups after sitting on enemies.

Aroma Super somersault seat

For the super variation that I'm hoping to give her alternate frames for something to look forward to.   This super should be implemented soon.  Its not gonna be a fancy super its just a super variation of her already existing move.

Akai Banzai Drop

Akai will have the same technique Makuyama has.  He will have more range, no armor,  but still, be unblockable.  It will do less damage as well.  I'll want to do the landing animation soon.  although I can reuse an asset for that now so I can program it.

Butt Bounce Front

Now he has animation to do it for front-facing butt drop.  Since this is his mechanic you may see some redundant animations since I have to do front-facing and back facing variants of choices.  So far I like seeing him do this in-game and as long as it doesn't turn into a cut scene with no interaction I think y'all will enjoy it too.

Akai J. Mediums

I feel like I posted this already.  But either way now he has all his air normals.  Six attacks standing, six attacks in the air and only 4 planed for crouching.  So only one missing now is his sweep.

Akai Jumping Roundhouse

Crouching Roundhouse(Hard Kick), Jumping strong(Medium Punch), and Jumping forward(Medium Kick) are remaining.

Akai Jumping Fierce

Akai now has a jumping hard punch!   Now all he  needs is Jumping Roundhouse and Crouching Roundhouse for a full set of defaults.  he'll have mediums in the air too but those should be easier than the roundhouses and fierces.

Face Bounce

The follow up option after sitting on a face.  Akai's  gimmick will be comparable to a chain grab system.  After sitting on a face you can choose which option you do as a follow up.  This animation shows the damage option.

Akai J. Light Kick

The one he has now I can't stand.  So here's its replacement.

Unlike Rapid it will not hit 4 times.  It will just hit twice but I wanted to show it hitting 4 times for the preview.
