Mist blinked as he stumbled out of a portal and into a morgue that looked suspiciously familiar. He turned and looked at the two shocked people that were staring at him in disbelief. Unless he missed his guess the pale faced girl with white hair was Olivia Moore while the man was Ravi. He scanned the female and smiled slightly as he got a blueprint for an intelligent zombie. “What, you’ve never seen someone jump through a portal?”
Mist blinked as he stepped/fell out of the portal and into a disturbingly familiar room that he’d seen far too many times while playing the World of Warcraft game. He tried to contain his excitement as he glanced around the room at the inside of the wizard’s tower as the rest of the group came through the portal behind him. He scanned the bookcase and frowned as he got a blueprint for a bookcase prop rather than an actual bookcase. “Prop… right.” He blinked in surprise as he r...
Dawn scowled as she glanced around the table at her friends. “Is there a reason that we let them leave with the troops?”
Arya spoke up, “A deal is a deal. I created enough ships to haul his 20,000 soldiers across the sea. Unless he’s really lucky, his ships won’t make it back which means it will be a one way trip.”
Xander turned to look at Arya. “Don’t worry, I sent a message to King’s Landing to expect them.”
Egwene looked up when she heard a knock on the doorframe and saw one of the girls that had checked on her earlier. “Am I a prisoner?”
Mist smiled at the still defiant young woman on the infirmary bed. “If you mean are you still confined to the infirmary, yes. If you mean, are you a prisoner? No, you’re free to go as soon as Amy clears you.”
“I feel fine,” Egwene admitted, rather amazed that she actually felt fine.
I've been having trouble working on my Alex story, I'm currently rereading it, I should have more in a couple of days. However, while I've been trying to sweet talk my muse into writing on Alex's story... I've been working on another story. The first part of the vague self insert was published on Space Battles so you'd not being charged for it. I'll stick a nice link to it so that the people that haven't seen it can read it.
Alex sighed as she examined her pathetic excuse for a knife blade resting on her anvil. It was a lopsided creation that was also rather uneven along what should have been its blade. She resisted the urge to smash it a couple of times out of frustration. She glanced over at her father who was happily working on forging a knife on another anvil under the direction of the elf in charge of the metal shop. Lynette was probably the bulkiest elf she had seen so far in Abby’s world. While her...
Marie glanced at her daughter as she walked into the kitchen, “So how are things going with your project, you’ve been at it for a couple of weeks now and I've been busy with work.”
Alex smiled, “It’s going well. We’ve unlocked a couple more buildings and we have all of the street lamps working so that’s a plus.”
“Which buildings?” Marie asked with interest.
“We got the blacksmith open though it’s more like a metal shop than a traditional blacksm...
Alex frowned as a man that looked suspiciously like Devon strolled out of the gates on the other side of the arena with his hands leisurely clasped behind his back. She felt a shiver run down her spine as the man almost lazily made his way across the sand as if he didn’t have a care in the world. She noticed Cael conjure a shield so she pushed a touch more magic into her own armor spell. As he got closer she noticed that he was closer to her own height than Devon’s height. She wasn’t su...
Marie snickered as she watched her daughter walk into the living room with a small stack of books. “Dinner should be ready in a couple of minutes.”
Alex sniffed as she tried to figure out what they were having. Something with pasta sauce and a fair amount of garlic but other than that she couldn’t tell. “What are we having?”
Devon frowned as he considered the merits of staying the hell away from the crazy realm and the merits of trying to make friends with people in his power range. He also wanted to make a good impression on his aether control teacher and chickening out probably wouldn’t accomplish that. He decided that helping her explore her new realm was probably the best chance he would get to make friends, plus it would give him a chance to see just how powerful the monsters were. “Can I come?”<...
Dark Flame sat down in her chair then got out her notebook and started working through the numbers on Abby‘s map. “If you’re interested I’ll explain as I go. Do you have any questions before I start?”
“How does Abby know any of this? I mean I looked through the books and I read about the basic theory…” It looked like a strange combination of math and shorthand that made little sense to Alex.
“Abby’s brother is into realm creation and her family have been ...
Abby stepped away from the wall next to the tapestry that would take her home as she saw Alex approach, “How did orientation go?”
Alex shrugged, “A bit weird… how did yours go?”
“Annoying, we already knew most of the stuff they were telling us but they’re required to go over it anyways. Still it was nice to have a chance to go over the schedule a bit without having my parents there to jump in with what their favorite classes were back in the day.”

Alex took a deep breath then let it out as she tried to calm herself down, while she wasn’t naïve enough to believe that all the secrets of the universe would suddenly reveal themselves tonight she knew that a fair number of questions she had wondered about over the last eleven years of school would finally be answered. She wanted to charge the portal up and jump through so that she could get her answers sooner but at the same point she wanted to stay in her room and have things not chan...

Miss Ashford looked over her class with a touch of pride and a smile. They had done remarkably well over the last hour cleaning and scouring all evidence of the classroom having been the center of a year’s worth of messy magic classes. She loved her job, but everyone needed time to work on their own projects and decompress which was why she was looking forward to having her summer to herself. She swept her gaze over her students, trying to fix the faces of her favorite students in her mind as ...
Harry frowned slightly as he looked down at the two candles on his birthday cake then over at his rather pregnant mother. He was looking forward to having a couple of siblings to make up for not having any the last time around. “There should be more candles.”
Lily chuckled as she looked away from the cake and up at her son who was floating at about eye level. “Do you even know how old you are mentally?”
“Twenty, give or take?” He wasn’t actually sure ...
Harry looked away from the stack of notes on the ‘living’ room table his dictation quill had scribed and over at one of his mothers. “Everything is sort of blurring together.”
Lily looked up from reading one of the pages of notes that Harry had dictated about his adventure in Gringotts. “In that case, maybe it’s time to change directions for a bit, we’ve been at this for three days.”
“We should go after some of the other Horcruxes,” Sirius suggested as he walk...
Sirius grinned as Harry guessed the correct face of the coin for the twentieth time in a row including the time he’d swapped the coin out for a double sided coin without telling him and the time he’d swapped the coin for a different coin in case Harry had somehow charmed it. “We’re going to a casino at some point.”
Harry glanced over at the tent where one of his mothers was napping. “I’m game if you can get me some polyjuice and figure out a way to do it that doesn’t have m...
Harry was just glad that his father’s cloak kept the monsters from noticing them. He whispered, “Sneaky.”
Tonks did the best she could to sneak by the monstrous penguins, sadly she managed to make noise as she was passing the last penguin which screamed, “Intruders!”
Harry raised his hands and sent a ball of fire at the Diggle.
Tonks stared as the small creature screamed and caught fire. “How the hell?!”
“Run,” Harry replied in a whisper.

He smiled as he worked on looting his parent’s library. It wasn’t nearly as impressive as the library at the Black’s house but it was a lot better than what he had currently which was a single fire spell or ability as it wasn’t even a real spell. Once he had everything he could loot safely secured in his inventory he gave the place a second search. He grinned as he found a star under one of the chairs out of sight unless you were lying on the ground.
Harry groaned as he found himself in a dark void looking at large glowing red letters, “Game over?”
The letters shifted and changed to read,

He stared at the words in confusion as he tried to figure out what happened and how he ended up wherever the hell this was. “Okay, last thing I remember is walking to the hotel then the Knight Bus appearing then nothing… Well, shite!” He reached out and t...
Harry looked over as the door to their train compartment opened and he saw a red haired boy and girl standing there with trunks. They both looked around his age though the girl might be ten for all he knew it was a bit hard to judge. “Yes?” He was glad that he was using his metamorph ability to disguise his hair to a nice brown color and his eyes to blue. There were enough people in the wizarding world that had an annoyingly accurate picture of him despite the fact that he hadn’t set foot ...
