Halloween 2025 WIP check-in

Guys I'm SOOOO happy with these so far. Hopefully I can nail their bodies- some of the ideas are clear in my head but others are pretty fuzzy... Wish me luck, I'll see you when these ladies have hair!

HALLOWEEN DOLLS 2025 - Heads!

Slow going, but we're going! Here's the concept- 80s inspired Halloween monsters! A devil business woman, new wave/goth wolfwoman, and an aerobics zombie!

Things are taking FOREVER! or else I'd have more to show you! Here's what's going on in my life: I have a friend from England staying for 2 weeks and a friend from California staying for 1 week at the end of October, and I have to make sure my house is ready for like 6-8 people to hang out, and we haven't had to host in like, years ð...

WIP check in: Big Bad Wolf

Phew!! Let's freakin go. Not much to say about these gentlemen, maybe because it's almost 2am as I'm making this. Hopefully I'll be on top of taking photos for the bodies, but I just know they're gonna piss me off, so we shall see....

WIP check in: Mistress Red Riding Hood

Parts all finished for her, all 3 of her! I really love this sculpt, she's so charming and really gives "2000s rockabilly pin up girl illustration" which was the goal. I oughta do more with this mold!

Lets make these thangs. The way I make shoes is different from any other sculpt I do- I "carve" them out more than the typical sculpting you do with polymer clay, Super Sculpey is fairly firm and easy to carve with a sharp xacto knife. Let's go!

how I make SIMPLE HANDS (no wire supports)

I'm going to preface this by saying these have NO SUPPORTS IN THEM! When I make a pair with reinforced fingers, I'll make another post. These have no reinforcement because I'll be using them to make molds, and they don't need the extra support. On we go!

Big Bad Wolf head sculpt!

I am in LOVE with how this head sculpt turned out! I think I nailed the Tex Avery-esque vibe I was going for. I'll be making a mold of this handsome wolf, a long with some hands and boots (maybe multiple pairs?) he's going to be a leather daddy 👀 maybe I'll make a sexy/dominatrix Red Riding Hood to go along with him!

How I make hair wefts!

Here's a quick little step by step of how I make hair wefts!
I will use: yarn, scissors, a hair straightener, wire cat brush, mod podge, paint brushes, and a silicone mat on a board

NEW SET all sculpted! (Hot Mess pt 1)

Alright, let's go folks. I've been wanting to make some dolls that are a bit sloppy in an intentional way, and nows the time! This series is called "hot mess" and is inspired by the way people look deep into an evening at the club or a party.

Angel WIP shots

She's going to be the last Bad Girl for a while! I'm running out of steam for them.
I got a good idea for another line of dolls that will force me to use more of my fabric collection. They'll be called Scrap Fairies :)

Guys it's been a STRUGGLE, it's so damn hot in my studio but I'm trying so hard. Trust.
