Pinup Sketch (March Week 4)

Here's the sketch for the final illustration for March! I am working on the colors now, and should have it up very soon. Then, I will get a jump start on April, probably with some close ups of the tall, silver haired girl. We've tackled the brown haired girl, and the curious redhead, so it's her turn!

Speaking of her, she seems to be the target of those angry wasps that the hat wearing redhead stirred up, last scene! Wonder if it's her perfume... Well, whatever the reason, I bet she has so...

And here's the colors! Next one will be a group shot of all three girls, which will wrap up March. I'll send those rewards as soon as I finish it. I have some ideas to follow up the last group shot, so let's see what I can come up with!

Colored Pinup (March Week 2)

You know, this sort of angle is a challenge to balance the cute and the sexy. The lines looked cute enough, but when I add the shading, well... It's hard to know when to stop adding detail to the butt, so it isn't "too much". XD

But I like it anyways! Hope you all do, too!

Colored Pinup (February week 4)

Finally got this one done! really had fun with this one, though I definitely need to do some studies on evergreen trees... Personally, I like seeing the strokes in artwork, and it's fun for me to try and get basic shapes and brush strokes to read well as a picture... But I need to practice more on outside scenery. Putting that on the to-do list! But it works well enough for now, I suppose.

Colored Pinup (February Week 3) Pink haired

So this is the alternate hair color I was thinking of, for the tall girl. The idea I had in my head was that she might be a bit like the pretty and tough girl, kind of snooty and stuck up, but still friendly enough to be part of the group. I wanted to make her stand out a bit, like she's used to getting attention, so I thought giving her a bit of an unnatural hair color would work for that. At least that's the idea I had in mind, when I drew this. *shrug*

Anyways, I can't really decide bet...

Here's the colors for the 3rd week of February! I wanted to try white hair on the tall girl, but I might need to sit on it for a minute.... If I change it, I'll post the alt up, too. If not, well, no worries!

I just have one more to color before I send February's rewards, and then it'll be no sweat getting March's pics done. Should have that done in a day or two. I can't wait to send the high resolutions for these ones!

Here's the sketch for February's week 4! Unfortunately, it's hard to see in this thumbnail, but the symbols in the two scared girl's word bubbles are a picture of a bee, and a "Don't Touch" symbol. It'll be clearer in the final, full sized version (3840 x 2160), but it works for now as a reminder that that's what I want there.

Pinup Sketch (February Week 3)

I drew some more characters than usual, as a way of saying thanks for being patient! I might do the next few as sequential pieces of these characters. It'll be fun. I might be projecting my eagerness for warm weather, with my art, lately. Since I am behind on these, it might have been smarter to do more simplistic drawings, but hey, I was out of commission for a bit, so I am a little eager to prove myself, again. XD

I've been feeling much better this week, so I have been getting caught up ...

Update - Dental surgery inbound!

Thanks everyone, for all the supportive comments over my tooth pain! I did end up going into the dentist office on Monday morning, under emergency situations. I woke up about 3 in the morning with severe pain. It was mind numbing! Funny how one little tooth can cause so much agony... To add to that, I was also extremely light headed, even standing made me feel as if I was going to pass out. Luckily, there's an emergency walk in clinic just a few blocks from where I live, and so I got there ...

Toothache!

I am a bit delayed in posts this last week, because of some bad tooth pain. More specifically, a pushy wisdom tooth. Despite the fact that there is simply no room for it, it just keeps trying to push itself through. It's been giving me trouble on and off for the last 10 years, but never so bad as recently. It looks like it's time to go see a dentist about it, but until I can arrange that, I am trying to get it under control with pain pills and OCD level mouth cleansing rituals.

Alrighty, got this one colored, finally! It looks Like January had 5 Fridays, so I owe you guys another one, making 5 pinups for January! I'll have it done by the 5th, when I send January's rewards. 

Anyways, what do you think of this one? Simple background, but I had fun with the ripples and water reflection effect.

Pinup Sketch (January Week 4)

I decided to go with the girl from the last pic. I might put her in a river scene, or maybe a lake, considering that she was in a mountain forest setting, in the last one. Could be fun! I might have to change the shape of that clam to one of those freshwater mussels. I live in an area a lot like that, with evergreens and rocky mountains (Northern coastal California). It's often cold in the morning, but gets really warm in the mid day. That'd explain her need for a hoodie before, but then easily ...

Here are the colors! Man, I gotta practice evergreen trees more... I think I need a brush other than a simple round or square brush to make them really work. Looks like I have another thing to add to my list of things to practice!
