Alright! Time for the first Monday night update~. This will be a short one, given that the last update was a couple days ago.

- I mentioned I'd have more information on the MTM minicomic later this month. It's now later in the month - the artist for that is finishing up the lineart. We'll likely be seeing colored pages for that later this month.

Dec 15 Updates!

You may have noticed the next complete novel update was posted to the discord last week. I planned to do another editing round when I wasn't sleep deprived and... well, that took a few days*. There also ended up being two art tweaks as well - Neshui will now have appropriate levels of smirk in her image and the drider has pupils. That'll be updated later today with the tweaked images, and the update will be posted publicly shortly after.

Dec 1st Updates!

- With the update images finished this week, the next finished novel update will be coming next weekend.

- Rasha (artist who did the bubble mini) is indeed up for doing another minicomic, and will be doing "Regulation Packing"!

- I've started uploading the additions to the google doc, that will be continuing over the weekend. You may have noticed the first addition yesterday, there's been another since then. Still more to go before we get to the part I was continually reworking......

Nov 17th Updates!

First off, the 2/4 of the upcoming update’s illustrations are in the WIPs section (they just need noises added). I also posted 2 sketch pages from the upcoming MTM minicomic.  If you missed it, a WIP from the upcoming Devilish Deck mini was posted above that one awhile back.  The DD artist is in the middle of a family emergency so that’s been delayed, although they are aiming to have 2 more pages sketched next week.  As the last bit of minicomic news, I’ll be reaching out...

Important Poll

I've been speaking with Eldrik regarding how to go about coloring the non-sexual scenes.  2/3rds of the next update will be finishing up the Amri stuff (and thus will be fullcolor illustrations regardless), but that left the remaining 1/3rd of the upcoming December novel update and the entire January novel update in question.

So... how SHOULD those illustrations work? Fullcolor? Lineart? I originally planned for them to be a large number of clean sketches but that ended up not bei...

The Next Novel Page

Is up! I'll be doing (yet another) pass later today, as I basically ended up completely rewriting the entire sequence.  The new rendition doesn't give as much setting information as the old sequence, but it's not like that information needed to be shared this early on regardless and I felt it should focus more on Amri's perspective.

First Finished Update

Novel Text Update, First Finished Update Next Friday

The text update I mentioned last weekend is finally up - last week did not at all go as I planned it. (Including my plan to only slightly delay this post to coincide with the update being posted...)

I'll be posting some more minicomic wips this week, and we will also be finalizing the first finished novel update!

Minicomic Finished, Wips, First Illustration

"Fear Me, Lucy!" is finished!

There's also wips for all 7 pages of the upcoming "Two for One Bubble" minicomic in the discord.

In other news, the first novel illustration is finished (sketches for the first 3 were posted in the WIP section last Saturday). I've also created a new discord section for the illustrated novel, including two channels for writing / illustrations that haven't been turned into finished updates yet.  I'll be further straightening up the discord later ...

Three Additional Minicomics In the Works

If you've been following the Patron-Discussion channel in the discord, you may already be aware that I spent the past week finding artists capable of doing GFC-quality minicomics.  I was very surprised to be this successful; I thought this search would take a month at least.  So, let's go over the minicomic situation!

The two minicomics already being worked on (so FIVE in total): King is still working on the Lucy minicomic, good chance of that being finished this month.  ...

Novel Updates

I've been periodically posting things in the discord patreon-discussion channel, but a summary:

- I've posted / pinned a link to the google doc containing the page drafts.  It also has some example image-formatting mock-ups now (the mockups are using the Kayla Hawkins concept art, if you're wondering who that is). I'll likely put the link in its own channel or something to that extent.
- I also posted the descriptions for the first 2 updates worth of images we'll be doing~.

Illustrated Novel (Updated Announcement)

As announced earlier this week (this is an updated version of that announcement), GFC's main comic will be changing to an illustrated novel style.

We've tried many things but the comic just could not continue as-is. The workload was infeasible; you may be aware of the sheer amount of art Eldrik produces every month and comics are MUCH more time-intensive than anything else he does.

Are up! You may have noticed Safi's text in the last panel changed. I felt her previous expression was a poor fit, given what she was seeing on the screen. But her old dialog didn't fit the new expression at all - in the end the issue was that her expression + dialog needed to match her thoughts on either Katoka's actions or what she was watching on the screen or another, and between the two I felt the screen was a bigger draw on her attention.
