Today we test out some very nicely made slugs by Nick Ross, his first slug submission to us. We had a few hiccups but luckily were able to find some clues on how to solve this in the field.

Fascinating early Russian Prototype 12ga Sabot Round

Over three years in the making! It took that long to figure out to make this challenging slug to function using American powders. It would be way too easy to just load something like this hastily and screw it up and blow the opportunity to test such rare pieces.

Gatekeeper BLACK - Can you ruin perfection?

The original Gatekeeper was one of the best commercial slugs we tested and many viewers agreed. The owner of A.R.M. decided to fiddle with the design by adding a 31 caliber hardened steel ball to it, and hold it in place with melted wax. I think he wanted to make it "armor piercing" but as you will see, the modification nearly ruined everything.

Double-Barrel Shotgun PISTOL using GRAPESHOT for self-defense?

In this video we test out the American Gun Craft 12ga. pistols using a grapeshot load to simplify and speed up the loading process. We also used White Hot preformed powder pellets. How does this configuration work for self-defense.
