God, sometimes I hate that Artyom guy SO MUCH!
"What was he thinking? WHAT WAS HE THINKING?" - I scream while trying to make my pages from 2015 look decent in 2019. Thanks God I am able to redraw some pages and panel or at least give them a little digital renovation.
For example here, I'm intensely uncomfortable about almost every shape, detail or rendering technique Artyom from 2015 decided to use. I'm never using dry brush again:

A commission of characters from a great comic by Austin Harrison, Mike Raicht, Zach Howard and Nelson Daniel. Zach asked me to draw it back in December and by that saved my ass from the lack of $!

I think this video was shot in iPhone's time lapse mode, so it's a bit more flashy? Anyway, you could slow it down a bit with the Youtube settings, if you want.

Hey everyone!
Since my first Souls Love zine was the main pillar of my economy for the last few months, channelling some of my love for the recently released Sekiro into another volume of this zine was only more natural. And really, it's a very nice way to sped half of an hour a day once in a while.
Not gonna show you all the drawings yet, but some will get here for sure before the zine's release ;)
So, above we have two kind monke...

Hey folks! Here's a Slavic Nihilism update for ya'll. With just one new strip to share today, let's do a recap!
(And don't forget - if you don't have either digital or physical copy of Nihilism #2, you could just read the first chapter of Chernobyl here).

I drew a Rasputin for colored reprint of "bootleg" Slavic Nihilism #2.99 fanzine done my two of my good friends! :D
One of the two stories in it was done by Jazzindapuss and it's fucking bonkers (also it's based on this song). Here's a bunch of pages from it - exclusively (for a few hours, haha) for ...

#5, page 21. I'm back on my bullshit again! Please, let me know how entertaining are these last videos with the amount of weird tinkering I'm doing there.
(I wish I was smart enough to work on my silhouettes more in this sequence and brave enough to leave huge parts of those panels be at the earlier stages - like, really rough ink wash areas and MINIMAL amount of lineart. That'd be cool. I'd be cool!)

We're back!
#5, page 20
Around this page I started experimenting with ink wash - Jericho needed a different style for his flashbacks, and it felt really fitting to make his scenes more murky and weird. I was doing a lot of silhouette isolation with paper cutouts, used sponges and brushes - but it's still far from the more systematic and laconic look I wanted to have in the end (see "Jaundiced Eye" by Tyler Landry <3)
Also, I feel like this techni...

And without further ado - we're finally getting back to our (relatively) regular Slavic Nihilism schedule! This bastard NEEDS to be finished by summer, so I really have no choice here, haha :D

Howdy! This is a scheduled post. Right now I'm probably sliding down a mountain on my busted old skis. This post informs you about my ten days of absence (three days in the mountains, a week in Novosibirsk - family is important, and free skiing trip is amazing!), but also lets you know what we're wrapping up 3 out of 5 issues of that Secret Book very soon!

This book is such a joy to draw - it a...

God, I hate second panel here so much. There are many artists who do magic with stretched horizontal panels... But I should forget about them altogether. Blegh.

Aaaaaaand our final cover!
I had big plans for this one, bough aaaall the materials for doing linocuts and shit -- but damn, I was so exhausted and so nervous about my gauze experiments, that in the end I went the safe road.

We're making a huge time jump between our videos here - at this point, I finally had my new iPhone, two flexible "legs" which I was connecting together and using for holding the phone over my table, and was deep into thoroughly enjoying my nibs, inks and screentones territory.
Also, two of my favorite faces from the entire book are here - both Jericho and Pale Horse are hella cute!

GOD DAMN IT THIS POST WENT LIVE WITHOUT TEXT!
(But I think you got the gist, haha :D)
Basically, with the sheet above I was trying to formulate my "bible" of coloring choices for Giulia. I was imagining our book almost like Batman:Black Glove - J.H. Williams did some mad stuff there with every character being drawn is slightly different style (also damn - for the last million years I was sure that that book was colored by Dave Stewart, and I vividly r...

Okay, this is a VERY old video!
I think I shot it on my old IPhone back in April of 2017. That's why there's a cut every couple of minutes - the phone was running out of storage space. I don't think I had my apparatus for holding my camera above the work space either... Anyway, it was a clusterfuck! Especially because here I'm also using that notoriously shitty calligraphy pen. You could notice that I'm so desperate that I'm switching to my cheap and rusty Russia-...

Hey people! Let's do some "housekeeping", eh?
First of all - Slavic Nihilism returns in a week or so! Finally I'm getting some shit done, yeeee-hhaaaaaw. If only you know how much MAD STUFF I am reading through for this book.
Secondly, I'm loading a bunch of 7 Sins process videos into next three months of Patreon posting clip! TKO is also going to use some of the videos I shot, and I'm not sure in which order - but I'm going to give you those vide...

Sometimes your poor organism craves for some sort of bizarre, but highly therapeutic busywork. One out of three times you actually manage to treat yourself to this ritual.
Maybe in this fit of abstract sincerity you remember that there was a time when 80-90% of your inking was digital. So you just take your tablet, and you draw your work, layer after layer, over-complicating the process for no visible reason, solving weird cleaning tasks and isolating lineart in a dozen of ways, having ...

Yay! Another monthly comic!
Here's a lil' comic I did for a Kickstarted anthology. The weirdest part about it is that the story was co-written by a kickstarter backer and he's in it himself :D

Please, submit your votes to this poll! Youtube is showing me quite depressing numbers of views on most of my videos, but I keep hoping that someone out there is enjoying them - and I have a lot of 7 Sins processes shot in the last 1,5 years, so I'm probably going to continue posting them... But I really don't want for this Patreon to become a slog of uninteresting e-mail notifications.
Also here's a cool couple of 7 Sins pages to make up for the boring poll ^__^

Okay, so last month, in the midst of terrifying depression and massive work uncertainty I decided to draw 14 pages of comics in about two weeks, pencils to inks. And after finishing pencils it meant inking all the pages in just 9 days, which is pretty fast for me, all things considered. Turning in those pages ASAP was important, of course, but I knew that finishing them SO fast wouldn't help me. I just decided that I want to finish this issue BEFORE December, so that after my birthday I...
