It's Christmas, and to celebrate the season, QW take a festive walk through London. We visit a Christmas market, try the food and drink, see the Regent Street lights, Selfridges, and the Trafalgar Square tree - but something is missing. Why am I unable to get into the Christmas spirit?

Yes: we sort of filmed some Third Bird bits for the plague video. Sort of. Ish. They were meant to be on location, but we lost the mask. Unfortunately, I had Covid when we finally did them, so I wasn't at my best, and they didn't really fit with the rest of the video, so you're going to get to see them here instead. Including some other stuff - such as me admitting I didn't feel very well when we were on location. I had no idea!
It's almost Christmas - and there's plenty to fill your stocking with, from a brand new Marillion Christmas cover, new Steve Hogarth vocals on Trevor Horn's new album, and an excellent new book. Plus: why is Marillion associated with Christmas?

Hi y'aaaaall.
Covid is weird. I'm a lot better. I feel fine most of the time, and then if I do anything I get absolutely floored; shortness of breath, light-headed, all that. I was meant to be seeing my grandson this weekend, but there's no way I can manage the three-hour drive. So you know I'm not 100%, because normally there's no way I'd pass up a chance to see him.

Now that I've watched it on the big telly, I can say that 90% of it is absolutely fine, but there are a couple of points where it's either stupidly noisy in the background, or peaking/harsh (in the nighttime stuff mainly), or muffled (one bit at Tower Hill). Generally it's fine, though. Every vid we do is a learning experience. We also need to stop using the front camera on my phone for night shoots! It's rubbish.

New Digi video! You might need to give it a bit of time. as it's still processing the 4k version.
Anyhow, it's a long one. And a good one. It was a mad one to research - part of why it has been so long getting this to you. Plus, it was an INSANELY complex edit, all done through the fog of Covid, so I hope it hangs together. As of writing this, I've not watched it back in a linear fashion yet. Fingers crossed.

Did a test this morning, and... boom. Seemed to come on very quickly, as yesterday we somehow managed to walk 11km while filming without any issue.
I blame last weekend's Marillion gig from Hell. Or we were tempting fate, because we were shooting an episode about The Plague, of all things...

As you’ve probably seen, we had a mostly successful Digi Level 2 shoot at the weekend. The only downside was that Gannon got ill during the filming, and had to sit out a big chunk of it.
On the plus side, this meant more for Sanja to do, but we will have to film a little bit extra to explain why he suddenly ran off in the middle of a scene! It should be seamless though; we managed to contrive something on set.
