Hey-yooooo. Sorry I've not managed to get any blog posts done of late. Been rather behind with... everything.
But... here's the title sequence from the upcoming zombie-themed ep as an exclusive for you. Unfortunate timing, in some respects, given what's going on in the world right now, but I've not referenced viruses anywhere - just "toxic waste" and "radiation", and... a few other more stupid things.
Beware: this video is stuffed full of flashing images.
Once again, the Digitiser Deluxe sound woes made this video a challenge. This time, as you'll see, my mic wasn't working, so I had to try and fix it in post. This is as good as I'm prepared to get it, given I've been working on the bloody thing since last week!
It's a good video though, with us once again disappearing down the Kickstarter rabbit hole. Oh, and I went all-out with the Found Footage-y inserts in this one...

I've had a pretty mental start to the year, hence almost nothing on the website.
I'm nearly back to a normal workload (I hope), but I've been scrabbling to finish my final three episodes of 4 O'Clock Club (yes: ever) which film in a couple of weeks. We've had an insanely tight pre-production schedule... and, coupled to that, the last few Digi videos had issues with the sound, which meant they took roughly twice as long to edit as normal.

It features another appearance from Ash Frith, Eli's back from the dead, I wear make-up, and Gannon's in a particularly weird mood... oh, and a 100 year old egg gets eaten.

So, in a couple of weeks, I'm going to be one kid's show down.
CBBC's 4 O'Clock Club, which I've been working on as lead writer for almost 10 years, is finally coming to a close, and I'm just in the process of writing my final drafts of the last ever episodes. By the time the three-part finale airs, either later this year or early next, I'll have written something in the region of 60 half-hour episodes. I don't know the exact number.

I worry we might've lost a bit of what makes us uniquely Digitiser. Still, it's an experiment, and the trick now is losing none of that slickness, while also putting some of the visual chaos back into the episodes that I know you don't get anywhere else.

We've got an incredibly loyal core audience - sales of Digi Live certainly demonstrate that - but it has been telling that for the last couple of months we've been struggling to grow. So, we can now reveal the date for this year's Digitiser Live spectacular: Saturday July 25th. Tickets will be £20, which I know is more than last time, but we're risking a bit more, given that last time it was paid out of the Kickstarter fund. £10 was extremely low, I'm sure you'll agree, for a three hour show, plus Chunky Fringe, and I ended up delving into my own pocket to pay for everything (as did David Walford for CF).
I hope you'll appreciate that £20 is still at the low...
