On First Lieutenant Blyse's reluctant orders, the enforcers quickly tipped tables into makeshift barricades, loosing a volley of snapping particle shots into the crimson wave pouring from the vents. Promising another safe point, the Director fled toward the nearest exit. Blyse, taking two enforcers with him, followed, commanding the other enforcers to continue cover fire until he and the researchers were safely out of the commissary. As the brain-beasts fell into a growing pile of sickeni...

Led to a barricaded commissary, First Lieutenant Blyse and his subordinates were met by a cell of surviving facility workers.
"What is this place," Blyse demanded, his enforcers menacingly circling the survivors. "What do you do here, and who is in charge?"
The lead researcher stepped forward. "I am," she answered firmly, "and this is a neutral outpost. The New Dominion has no jurisdiction here, and you're in no position to make demands."

As First Lieutenant Blyse and his enforcers ran through the shadowed corridors, a voice cut above the din of the pursuing swarm. "This way!" called a civilian researcher, hastily beckoning for the squad to follow. Those who hadn't lost their way in the tunnels or been overtaken by the crawling mass followed Blyse as he trailed the researcher, his pistol warily in hand.

Alright, let's make this official. I got a ton of suggestions here, on Facebook, and on Instagram, and I've compiled a few of my favorites into this poll (this is as many as it'll let me list). Vote on however many you like, and by the time the poll closes (tomorrow at 11:59 PM PST) whatever gets the most votes is CANON. This is, like, a REALLY big deal, folks. Don't let me down.

Routing toward the surface exit, Enforcer Antonsen punched the security pad, First Lieutenant Blyse and the others pooling in the hall behind him. As the heavy, hex-toothed doors parted, a deluge of brain-beasts poured forth, each plopping onto the floor with a wet, fleshy thud as another of their kind struggled to take their place.
"Not that way!" Blyse shouted, but his subordinates were already in flight, searching blindly for an alternate path. Behind them, the cacophono...

It's time for our monthly Wallhalla release (from the series 2 sets we recently Kickstarted), and for October we have Ghoulish Graveyard (classic format) and Towers (Wall Sprawl + scatter terrain). They're both available now in the rewards folders for all patrons at the $5 tiers and higher (and also in the Wallhalla_Series2 folder for those at the $5 and higher legacy tiers).
For those who signed on (or upped their tier level) this month, these two sets will be availab...

Slowly, Sub-Lieutenant Hurst began to rise, then shamble toward his former compatriots, his body sagging under the weight of the passenger, pulsating as it fed on his ambling corpus. The whip-snap sound of particle fire accompanied flashes in the dim hall as Hurst's body was torn, the volley unprompted by First Lieutenant Blyse. Hurst kept moving, seemingly unhindered. He, or perhaps creature infecting him lifted his right hand, letting loose with several awkward shots from his officer-is...

Those of you who just signed on this month will get access to the folders about a week into November, and these will still be available at that point.
Death to the space jerks! (The last couple of days have definitely been rough for the Blue Meanies.)

Leaping at Sub-Lieutenant Hurst with preternatural speed, the creature enveloped him in a mass of writhing tendrils. Hurst drew his pistol, but his arm was quickly bound. As the sucker-mouth affixed to his exposed face, Hurst let out a pathetic gurgling scream before falling to the floor. The armored enforcers moved to help, but First Lieutenant Blyse ordered them to halt, still watching in curiosity. On the floor before them, Hurst convulsed as the creature overtook him, tearing holes in...

Here's another FDM-support-free Mytho-Resistance character. Oni made a close second to yetis on our poll, so here's one. This devious ballistician utilizes "Kimon" (the Demon Gate), a special ancestral trait unique to oni that give them a strong advantage when attacking from the northeast.

A blood-red, wriggling mass, roughly the size of a small dog, oozed and wormed cautiously across the steel floor toward the officers. Its central body, folded and wrinkled in a blasphemous resemblance to a human brain, was driven forward by wet, writhing tendrils, difficult to number in their asynchronous undulations. Blyse lifted his particle pistol, stepped back, and raised a hand to signal his armored enforcers to stand down. Eager to prove himself, Sub-Lieutenant Hurst walked forward,...

Following a distress signal to Sigma C-17, a lonely planetoid in the Outer Fringe, First Lieutenant Blyse and his detachment made planetfall onto the barren surface. Finding the entrance to a neutral civilian research bunker, Blyse and his crew breached the sturdy doors, entering a seemingly empty subterranean complex. In the dim light of a laboratory, they came upon a pair of chrome-plated containment tubes affixed to a bulky console. One of the tanks had ruptured, a thick ichor-like sli...

Alright, final release for September! This was a pretty meaty month, and we'll post a recap in a bit (rendering that now). These two (which include Monday's model + a new non-support free posed version) are now available in the reward folders for everyone at the $5 tier and higher. (As usual, if you signed on or upped your pledge this month, these will be available with all of this month's releases about a week into October when the new folder links go out).

An elf and a yeti walk into a bar…
Just painted up the elf Mytho-Resistance fighter from the previous Monday, and wanted to share. I’m really happy with this color scheme, and the way it contrasts with the New Dominion. Thinking I’ll keep that up (at least for this Mytho-Resistance cell/warband).

Alright, well the yeti was the clear winner of that poll, so here's a yeti resistance fighter with a plasma cannon. This feels like a pretty obvious way to go, so I'd like to mix things up with the next yeti, maybe giving them an unexpected archetype. But you know, yeti with a plasma cannon does feel pretty essential to me.
This hirsute fellow prints support free via FDM. We'll go down the poll list and pick from the more popular entries as we make more Mytho-Res...

A lot of the models we use for our Mytho-Resistance warbands are from customizer programs (primarily Hero Forge and DesktopHero). Encouraging traditional miniature conversions (and use of those kinds of programs) is really at the core of the philosophy behind the faction, but we've gotta make a good selection of models in house for various reasons. So, as I tie up the initial run on the ...

Just sharing some paint jobs on the recent New Dominion sets. This spread also includes a squadron of hover bikes (coming to the $5+ levels later this week). I want to round this off with a few more unit types, and settling on this “official” paint scheme was a big motivation to keep pushing toward finally releasing these sets, along with a booklet for their game rules. More on these (and their opposition, the Mytho-Resistance) soon.

I've been watching Blake's 7 lately, and it's quickly becoming one of my all time favorite sci-fi series (and great inspiration for storylines involving the resistance of the New Dominion). Two episodes that I watched last night featured these semi-hidden cliffside bulkheads, and, well... I had to have one. So here it is. Prints support free in FDM. Should be great as a façade placed at the edge of a battlefield or against tall, rocky terrain.

Happy Monday, friends.
I rarely include a terrain piece as the Monday model, but seeing as we're in the thralls of Swordtember (and that today's prompt really spoke to me), here's a big ol' monumental sword.
Prints support free in FDM.
Have a great week, everyone,

UPDATE: The new main image is the piece printed at full size. The other pic (and the render) are around 60% that size.
