I intended on posting a video about the Elan Valley Clearance, but the videos sat for so long on my phone I can't download it from iCloud - rip my phone storage. I plan to refilm it and hopefully get it up as the next video in a fortnight, pain flare willing. This week I thought I'd do a Cornel Stori so you at least get a video from me. Providing I wake up before 5pm tomorrow, it should be up tomorrow night, Saturday at the latest. My sleep schedule is wrecked lmao. If you saw my London tikto...

Today we’re going to be looking at the life of Dr William Price; Druid, doctor, father, and incredibly influential figure - not just in Cymru, but the UK as a whole.
This eccentric, enigmatic figure has left a legacy unknown to many, but you’d be challeged to find a person on the island who hasn’t benefited from his impact.

Today we’re going to be looking at a piece of history that has been woven into the folkloric traditions of Llyn y Fan Fach / The Lady of the Lake, and finding out a little more about the (allegedly) half-fae sons of the Lady. Her sons are said to have birthed modern medicine in Cymru and these mystical beginnings have firmly solidified the Physicians place in our history.

Pawb i have good news and bad news..
Bad news is i might lose my tiktok account again. Yes its @merchcymru all over again. Of my 11 strikes only 2 weren’t appealed successfully and 1 is getting appealed, but my account is restricted to view only mode. And even appealed strikes still count because tiktok is a ffyced platform. I can’t post, comment or like anything until the 18th, I have an account warning on my profile and my next strike might result in a permanent account...

Today we’re going to be looking at formal vs colloquial Cymraeg.
In this video we’ll look at shortening sentence/question starters for am/are/am not/aren’t and was/were/wasn’t/weren’t.
There is also a ‘very formal’ Cymraeg which you may have come across but to save confusion but we’ll look at that another day. I’m also planning to do a full video on pronunciation variations and dialectal spellings next month
Mwynha :)

Picking up where we left off from the verbs section of the list of 625 words to get you fluent in your target language.
I was thinking after part 3 of posting a video showing the differences between written and spoken Cymraeg (with a slightly heavier focus on Gog Cymraeg because reasons), let me know if that’s something you’d be interested in.

So apparently there’s a list of 625 words that should be learnt first in your target language to increase fluency - these are supposed to be the most commonly used words. So i have broken down the verbs section and will be going through them in 2-3 (maybe 4, we’ll see how we go) parts with example sentences.
Mwynha! / enjoy! ☺️

In modern use 'glas' is blue, 'gwyrdd' is green and 'llwyd' is grey, but colours yn Gymraeg are less about definitive shade names and more about interpretations of our environment. Our colours are a lot more culturally influenced than your average Dulux paint chart.
In this video we're going to look at the etymology of these hues & many other Cymraeg colours to try and explain the interpretive nature.
Seeing the world through Cymreig eyes might also make our mythology, folkl...

Hi all,
Thanks so much for bearing with me. I'm working on a DC which will be up soon. In the meantime I thought I'd drop a reading list of some of my favourite Cymreig books (I will add to this list as I find new reads)
This is a list of books in English, if you would like some Cymraeg recommendations let me know, I'd be more than happy to compile a list 😊

Not sure if you've seen on my socials.. Currently 50 hours post vax and on my 2nd a&e visit - almost 17 hours total I've been in this waiting room.
Apparently anaphylaxis, chest pains and being unable to breathe isn't concerning, but regardless, I don't have it in me to get the Nadolig DC up before Saturday. So the question is, should I scrap it entirely or upload a festive DC next week and include some NYE vocab?

Gurgi inspiring Gollum is the only good thing thing come out of The Black Cauldron (1985).
I do like that they included certain details like (Dalwyr) Dallben and Coll still look after her in the film, but the clairvoyant cutesy pig, historically speaking, has nowt to do with the Cauldron-born armies in mythology.
I'm not writing the film off 100%, there are good aspects, but no amount of characters with Welsh names can make this good film.

It's here!
It's finally time to wrap up Y Treigladau with the final set - Y Treiglad Meddal.
Sorry for the delay, the editing took longer than I expected.
I recommend watching this video in sections because there's a lot of information and I don't want you to feel overwhelmed.
One last reminder that the mutations will come naturally as you get used to speaking so don't stress too much if you can t remember them all right away.
Pob lwc! Good luck! 😄
