Not to get too complicated, but what the micro-warriors imagine in their thought balloons, is unshaded in order to diffrentiate their mistaken impressions from the events that actually did happen.

....In this completely imaginary story. Although you could argue that much of this story is more realistic than some of the ....stuff.... coming out of the White House, in these interesting times.

Yeah, OK. The panels of a chubby bear teacher getting pounded by horny young studs, are there not so much to advance the story, but because I really like seeing chubby teachers get royally rogered.

Running away and hiding in the woods is, from one point of view, "escaping". From another point of view, it is "abandoning your people".

   And as to the above, ever been locked in a cell? With your fate being decided outside it, with no input from you? It's stressful.

OK, I'm not gonna get Monday's Patreon page done in time, not with all the other errands I gotta run today. So here's half of it, the other half to be posted Wednesday.

   As was gently pointed out to me, posting six pages a week is kinda crazy. Very few other webcomix authors do that much, and nobody who also has to hold down other work.

Ugh - one in the afternoon when I post this. I used to post at 9 AM, usually. OK, how about this: At the halfway point in this story, page 20 or 21, I call an intermission. Then I run a couple weeks' worth of another story. I got a six-pager or two that should qualify.  But suggestions from Patrons are welcome, as always.

     That should then give me time to catch up on "Atonement", so I'm not drawing the page the same morning when I'm supposed to be posting it. ...

    And speaking of shrinkage, my youthful energy seems to have diminished somewhat. I frankly don't know if I can keep up with my current schedule of drawing a new page every day (I have two other stories going, besides "Atonement"). Not while also holding onto my part-time day job and running the household, anyway. I might have to schedule an "intermission" halfway through this story, something like that....

Oof. I'm posting later than usual, because I drew, inked, erased the pencils, scanned and graytoned this page this very morning.

   But this is why I chose to be supported per work - if I don't post, I don't get paid. If you're paid per-month, it's awfully tempting to skip a day when you're short on material, "just this once". And that way laziness and eventual ruin lie.
