Battle of the Bulge, page 5.

When tidying up some of my piles, I mean files, I ran across something interesting: A photocopied "The Battle of the Bulge" book, already translated to English! The hard way - I'd laboriously pasted pieces of paper over the word balloons, and written the translation by hand.

How about it, would you prefer these over the "new" translations with computer-generated lettering? I'm good either way.

I only let people I know, like and trust into my pants. The criteria for entry into my mind, my very last bastion of identity, would be even stricter.

I won't say moral purity is impossible. But if they live long enough, even the most upstanding people might find themselves compromising a principle or two.

Huh. Max without his machines is just a stocky guy in shorts. How about that...

Ladies, if you ever find yourself in this situation, a friendly blowjob will dispel any doubts about whether it's him or his monster dick you have problems with.

Yeah, the start is exposition-heavy. But fear not, the fights and cheap gags are coming. And hey, here's Roy's bought-used-on-instalments spaceship (and flown by a robot he won in a card game) blastin' into the sky!

Hmmmm. I missed an opportunity for cameos in the mob that's chasing the Mink. Now I'm making new pages, I can do such off-the-cuff stuff. If you have an avatar, lemme know if you're interested in having 'em appear in the background of Mink comics.

Conversation between the highly intelligent tends to be fast-moving: They can skip over bits that are obvious to their keen, quicksilver minds. If anything, this exchange between Mink and Max has been "slowed down"  to aid the audience's comprehension.

The Mink is not normally a killer. In her defense, she had just been hit from behind with a baseball bat, and was severely concussed. Her primal survival instinct was in charge when she let that lightning bolt fly.

Yes, yes, I'm an old perv, putting my long-suffering characters through all sorts of size games. But judging by the sales figures of these breast expansion/cock growth stories, I am far from the only one.

Hmmmmm....it seems that this "sex" invention still has some kinks that need to be ironed out.

We don't have some mildly portly Sidney Greenstreet character as our fat man. In space, you can get REALLY fat!

We're finally there: New, never-before-seen Mink pages. That's another thing I like about Patreon: Not just the money, although that's an enormous help. But also that it forces me to produce, to finish stories that had been languishing for years.

My body of work grows and gets better. I love that!

"Statistical probability curve" is the only way Max can say "God". To say he is not a practicing Jew would be an understatement.

And just to appease the eye-searingly ugly (in body and spirit), mean-spirited,  glaring, staring-just-past-your-shoulder, teeth-gnashing, froth-spitting, sadistically demented censor types - yes, all characters in this story are over 18, or whatever the age of consent is in your jurisdiction. If you don't believe me, I can draw a birth certificate signed by the registrar of the king of the imaginary kingdom in which these imaginary characters reside.

   Happy now, you twisted, ...

The "time do fly" thing at top is a reference to the fact I penciled this page decades ago, when the "Program Switch" story idea was first jelling. And now, in 2016, it finally gets inked as part of the established story.

Time is not linear for the children of my mind. It twists and turns, a strange, slinky beast.

Yes, I inked this with a Sharpie. It was the 80's and I was a flat-broke teenager.

I'm back from vacation. I voluntarily left sunny-yet-cool Iceland, and the VIP treatment my generous family was handing out to me...... in order to return to the killer heat of Tucson. Literally - this summer's heat has killed several hikers around Phoenix and Tucson. I must be insane. It's madness, I tell you!

Ah well. At least I brought back plenty of the Good Licorice with me. And some hardfisk. Yummmm!

Max is not an exploiter, per se: He just wants to know everything. Even so, facing him while concussed was probably not the best decision.

There have been mystery men, masked vigilantes and villains, in the Mink's world for some time. But now actual super-powered characters are starting to appear. This development is not popular among the mere mortals tasked with dealing with them.

Thanks to a friend with a scanner, I managed to make this while traveling. And yes, even simplified realities can be tricky to deal with, if you don't know exactly how they work. "Reality, what a concept!"

OK, I'm vacationing in Iceland at the moment. Whilst there, I found the original art for my first fully realized and inked graphic novel, "The Battle of the Bulge". It's done just for fun, in a burst of teenage enthusiasm. Full of the things I liked - robots, imperfect heroes overcoming ridiculous odds, crusty spaceships, scenery-chewing villains and cheap gags galore.

Do y'all think I should run the whole book as the Saturday freebie? The art is crude, to put it diplomatically. B...
