Upcoming Best of the Worst

Anyone remember the 90's TV show Early Edition? It kinda sorta plays into the next Best of the Worst episode. It's a TV show with a pretty neat premise about a guy that receives tomorrow's newspaper a day early and uses the information from it to stop crimes. It apparently lasted 4 seasons, but it seems to be a show that has been completely forgotten to time. Nobody remembers this show!

Captain Marvel Episode Outtakes

Last buy not least...

This one is my personal favorite. Starring Elijah Wood (GET IT?!?!) and also the subtitle "tell me lies" cause... his....... nose.... GET IT?!?!?!!??!?!?!?! Not the best job at turning a dude into a wooden boy, but it was done quickly for the show.

Fun with Photoshop: The Wall

This is a blast from the Half in the Bag past! Just found these old posters I made when we spitballed about some old fairy tales they could turn into dark, gritty teen-dramas.

Here's Mike prepping the insert shot of "pasta rings with red sauce and meat served three ways" from the latest Half in the Bag. Even a stupid five second cutaway gag requires time and effort to set up properly.

Captain Marvel

Well, the Captain Marvel HITB should be up today... Our whole intro skit is about Milwaukee in the running to host the Democratic National Convention... responding to Miami's comments about Milwaukee not being "classy" enough. We shot this last week and, of course, TODAY they announce Milwaukee will hold the convention. Such wonderfully bad timing! Enjoy the skit though, kids. It's pretty funny. Video will be up soon...

Lots of editing...

We're currently editing our Captain Marvel Half in the Bag episode. Should be out soon. We're also working on editing the second part of the Suspiria re:View. We talked about the remake much longer than the original! Then it's on to editing another Best of the Worst episode as well as another re:View that was recently shot for The Rocketeer! So much editing!

Suspiria (1977) - re:View

We decided to split up our discussion of each Suspiria into two separate videos. Remake discussion coming soon!

Editing the Suspiria re:View

I'm currently editing the Suspiria re:View and the first 10-ish minutes are more of a discussion of Dario Argento's movies in general with plenty of clips shown. If you haven't seen much of his work and the shots and sequences from stuff like Deep Red, Inferno, and Tenebrae don't get you excited to check some of his stuff out, there may be something wrong with you!

March update

Hey everyone! We're filming a new Best of the Worst today, followed up with a couple of re:Views tomorrow. It might be a little while before either re:View is edited so for now we'll just say that one of them is going to be about Suspiria, comparing the original to last years remake. We took a small break from Half in the Bag to work on other stuff since there hasn't been any movies we've given a crap about but it'll be back soon since Captain Marvel is coming out this weekend!

Cleaning things up...

Just did a MAJOR clean up on the HITB set. Glass, pills, cans, garbage everywhere. After 8 years and countless disasters, she's holding up pretty well...

Building the Plinkett house set walls (2/2)

Hey everyone! We recently uncovered some old photos from back when we built our first set at our first studio space (a big dumpy room in an old industrial building). We had no idea what we were doing back then as far as set wall construction but these are the walls that eventually became the walls of the Plinkett house set on Half in the Bag. Their first use was as a hospital room set for the Revenge of Nadine short film. Then they were plastered with ugly wallpaper and we're still using them...

Currently Working On...

Hey everyone! We've spent the last week working on a random video (not a part of any of our usual shows) that has involved a lot of preparation, a lot of patience, and a lot of trial and error testing. It's been fun AND educational! Hopefully we'll be close to wrapping it up soon. There will be some fun behind the scenes footage to accompany that as well.

In addition to that, we're almost done editing a new re:View featuring Colin from Canada for the under-seen Zucker Brothers classic T...

Stuff on Our Shelves: Ryan's Babe Poster

There's a decent possibility we're some of the only people to have a framed Ryan's Babe poster. There's an even stronger possibility we're the only people on the planet to have a Ryan's Babe poster signed by the director.

Freddie enhanced a few stills from Cybernator in an attempt to make this trashy looking film look it's best and straight out of a pulp comic. Oh Cybernator... could you be more embarrassing.

Stuff on Our Shelves: The Ishtar Trailer

Here's a random one. Someone once sent us an original 35mm print of the Ishtar trailer! We don't have a way to project it but you can see that it's legit when you unroll it. A true piece of film history.
