I think I found a good way of inking in this picture that I've never tried before but that works rather well. Basically I use a fine brush to do all the lines in the drawing, then I go back with a thicker brush to define the main shapes and reinforce the design overall. This is relatively fast and looks pretty good for the time it takes, but it also flattens the picture a lot so it requires extra care in designing the pose in an impactful way.

Here I've been experimenting a little more with shapes and design, but I'm not sure it worked out that well. I feel like I simplified the colors way too much and this made the illustration a little flat. I feel like being colorful in an illustration is not just about using very saturated colors, but balancing different colors well, which is pretty hard for me to do. I feel like it's definitely a sticking point I need to fix somehow.

This is more experimenting with inking, I feel like I like the sharp shapes and designs that ink allows more than something softer and more shaded. Problem is, how to make this less sterile and more vivid? I feel like every time I render ink like this it looks very artificial and not very natural, so I feel like I need to address this in some way.

In this one I tried experimenting a little more with inking brushes as they are very convenient and give good results but they are also something that have been giving me a lot of trouble. 

I feel like I'm starting to understand how to use them correctly a little now though, so I may probably use them more in the near future, especially since they speed up the inking process.
