With July almost in the rear view mirror I have some new exciting things coming up for August. A big thank you for those who stuck around during the (northern hemisphere) summer vacation times!
This week will be a mix of DC, and Marvel, starting with...
The Joker - bust
Everyone's favourite homicidal slightly unhinged villain. All fan artists must make a Joker at some point. It's an actual rule according to law upheld by the Fan Art Inquisition who will cut your hands off if you don't do it in a timely fashion, and I'm getting dangerously close to my deadline. Because I am so fond of my hands I'm going to release this guy to you very soon, despite there probably having been 50 other Jokers released in the past 2 days alone!
I'm currently doing finishing touches and coming up with a base design that doesn't entirely suck, and I guess he needs that... flower... on his lapel. Maybe.

Black Cat - extended bust
I like this character and her complicated relationship with Spider-Parker a lot. I was trying to decide whether to finish up a Catwoman I've been working on, or Black Cat, that I've also been working on, so I pitted them against each other in the litter box and the winner stands before you. On her stumpy legs. Because I'm still a bit shell-shocked from working on the full figure Wonder Woman and trying to make that work, so for now she will be an "extended bust", if that's even a thing.
But, because I'm an idiot I will probably, before too long, make a full figure version, though this is not a promise.
I'm nearly finished with this one. Again, I need to give her a bust, tweak her face a bit more, and give her gloves claws.

That's all for now!
Again, thank you for your continued support, and remember to vent those fumes, keep your beds leveled, and once in a while check those thermistors aren't coming loose!

UPDATE 1: Because this was posted so late last month I'm extending this throughout August as well, giving everyone a chance to grab it.
Note: This is an original creation that I am putting up for sale on my store for $14.99, but as a loyal patron (Supporter+) of mine you are of course getting it for free this month (and possibly next since it's late in the month). Just make sure you download it ASAP!
Downloadable for Supporter tier and up, Dropbox link here.
So, I've got something new for you lovely people: It's an original creation inspired by the world of cyberpunk. A cybernetically enhanced detective (gumshoe, if you will) whose nightly job is to investigate the seedy neon blasted underbelly of <insert dystopian mega corporate-run city here>.
It's an easy print.
Supports: None.
Infill: Yes. 10% rectilinear worked for me, but slice, check the layers, and see what looks good in your slicer to support any internal overhangs!
You can choose to print him with, or without a base. There's two bases included so you can choose the one to your liking (if any)!

HERE SHE FINALLY IS, the full figure Wonder Woman :) This is a release for the Supporter and Kingpin tiers. She is primarily designed to be printed in parts, as shown below, and then assembled, as also shown below.
Print settings
Supports: None
Infill: 10% rectilinear works fine, but as always I recommend looking at the model in your slicer and scrub through the layers to make sure there aren't a bunch of internal overhangs printing in the air. If you have questions about this drop by the patron Discord, or drop me a message here :)
Remember to check out the Read Me First!.pdf file you can find in the folder!
DROPBOX LINK here for Supporter/Kingpin tiers.

Other versions
Resin version
I have a folder with a resin version, so check that out if you plan on printing in resin. The difference is the body is separate from a keyed base, so you can easier print her laying down, or tilted, without the base getting in the way too much, and then put the two pieces together.
One solid piece version
Important: Someone always asks for a full, solid, one piece version of the model, so I have included one as well in a separate folder, but I wholeheartedly do not recommend printing it as is, because it is just not designed for that and will require an ungodly amount of supports. BUT. It is good to have in case you want to cut the model up into pieces yourself.
And last, but not least...
Thank you for your continued support! These models would literally not exist without you guys and gals :)

She is basically, kind of, almost done. I had to replace the lasso in her hand with the shield to make her print reliably, because the rope kept failing every other print. When putting her together I did notice she is a bit off balance leaning forward, so I want to adjust that, as well reposing the fingers holding the sword slightly, and a few really minor annoyances.
I'll make some variants with a tall base as well as a flat one, and you will also get the full figure if you want to slice her up yourself
I'l

As you can tell below I've done some extensive test printing on her, much more than I have previously.

As I am away from home this week, you will be able to print her on Sunday the 7th of June. I'm sorry I wasn't able to finish her before then, but this is my first full figure of any complexity and it needed to not be rushed!
As always I am grateful to you for your continued support and faith in me and my sculpts, and I hope summertime is treating you well. Remember to stay hydrated, keep your printing space well ventilated, and check the wires on your 3D printers once in a while. Stay safe!

Supporter and above tier, current Dropbox link in this post.
So here he is! I had to scramble a bit to get him finished before the weekend because I leave on a little trip tomorrow with my family that has been in the works for the past 8 months, and I had promised you guys you would have Dredd now in June, but I have to admit I'm pretty happy with how he turned out! No promises, but I would love to make a full figure out of him at some point...
I'll be brutally honest with you, I'm writing this at 2:00am and I have to get up in 4 hours to catch that plane, so this one time I have to forgo making a PDF with printing instructions. That's okay, though, because he is super simple to print! Just plop him into your slicer, like so, and print! Well, pretty much...
Supports: none!
Infill: 10% rectilinear (see more about this at end of this post)

Some of my thoughts on infill
If you are somewhat experienced you have probably figured this out already, but here it is anyway!
For artsy prints I like to use rectilinear infill because it uses about half as much plastic as the regular grid infill, and also requires about half the time, because it lays it down plastic along one axis on one layer, and the on the next layer it does the other axis, like so:

You get a stucture like this, which is more than enough for internal support that internal overhangs can start growing on:

It ends up flimsier than regular grid infill, but the main point isn't structural integrity in the case of printing things like busts that will just stand on a shelf and look pretty.
Just make sure you preview the infill in your slicer, because as you can see in Simplify3D here, 10% rectilinear infill gives more coverage than 10% grid infill, which is important for our purposes:

So enough lectures from me. Happy printing! I'll give you guys the full figure Wonder Woman when I get back home later next week!
Oh! One more thing!
I also plan on getting this guy completely done for you...

THE LAW IS SOON UPON US. Or something...
That's not actually a Dredd quote.
Almost done with this one, I should have this one uploaded for you Supporter tier and up patrons to start printing before the weekend. Looks like this will be a bust with arms. I don't think I've done that before? I'm not a big fan of them, but this pose with his thumbs tucked inside his belt came to me and I just had to pursue it. I would have been done with it all yesterday, but I think it is worth the extra time.
Please be aware, this one might be tricky to have completely supportless, but I'll do my utmost to keep any supports minimal!

Aaand... if you scrolled all the way down here, here is where I am currently with Wonder Woman. As you can see I decided to skip the lasso she is holding in her hand, replace it with a shield, and relegated the lasso to her hip. This is after so many test prints where I just wasn't able to print it without failure consistently. At a later time I will make a dedicated post about this entire project so you can fully understand the pain-- uh, the process of it all :]

So... I have a first complete print of the Wonder Woman statue. Let's call it WW-MK-I. I'm mostly happy with it. I have some design tweaks I want to do, some overhangs I need to try to eliminate, and make a version without the lasso for those of you who are more risk averse.
I'm not ready to release her just yet. This has been such a long process so it would be a shame to rush it now and fumble it!
We are close, though!

I'm sure everyone's wondering what is up with that Wonder Woman figure that I've promised. I've been working on finishing her up for you, and here's an update! Got a bit more polishing to do, and I've added the lasso, which unfortunately has to be pretty thick to be able to be printed properly. Right now I'm doing some test printing (you can see that in the video) to make sure pieces fit together. Cutting her up into printable pieces has been a bit of a challenge, but I think I've come up with a good enough solution.
So stay tuned, and thanks for sticking with me :)

TL;DR Effective immediately THE PATRON ZONE web portal goes away, and Dropbox will be used instead. There will be stickified tags leading to the relevant Dropbox link posts.
To begin with I am extremely grateful for all of your support. As I am writing this there are 80 of you lovely patrons, and we are well on our way to the goal of having 100 patrons, which is just amazing. Well beyond my initial hopes and expectations. So a huge unreserved thank you to every single one of you! :)
As things are progressing in this, for me new endeavour, there are bound to be some changes. The first big on one will be the retirement of THE PATRON ZONE effective immediately.
As I began the preparations to launch this Patreon I had as a goal to have a nice portal built where everything relevant is gathered, like links to rewards, information, and so on. While it was a lot of fun to build I have come to realise maintaining the back end takes up too much precious time I could use for sculpting, and it is simply overkill for what it is, and adds layers of complication for you as patrons.
I will be replacing it as simply as possible with Dropbox, which is the tried and true rewards delivery system for Patreon, and there will be stickied tags leading to the posts with up to date Dropbox links.
There will be more changes coming that I will be announcing this month, so stay tuned!
Again, thank you all!

The recommended way to download is via the Patron Zone beta website:
There you easily register using your Patreon credentials and automatically gain access to the release section. If you are having issues accessing the release section, please look at this post before asking for support :)
For the time being there's also the option to download via Onebox, but using that one makes it more difficult to get an oversight of what is available:

HELLO DEAR PATRONS, HERE is the first release of June month, and it is for SUPPORTER tier and up patrons.
This was originally meant to be the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtle Raphael, but I decided to instead make him a generic Ninja Turtle so you can choose for yourself if you rather it be Don, or Mike. It is still spiritually based on the 80's comic book, and not the cartoons and movies, so what you get is a darker, more murderous Ninja Turtle!
As always you can find it in the Dropbox with the current link posted here! Oh, and make sure to read the PDF with printing instructions, even if this one is another simple print that doesn't require any external supports.
Happy printing, and thank you for your continued support!

This month is nearly coming to an end, and it's time to look ahead at what is coming up in JUNE. I'm confident the full figure Wonder Women will (finally) be out, and I'm working on a couple of more busts that should be completed that month: Raphael of Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles fame, and Judge Dredd. They are still unfinished but I'm making good progress!
Raph isn't the kids friendly version, this one is inspired more from the original comic books where the Turtles murder people, and Raph being the most unhinged of the bunch seemed like an interesting choice (and he's always kind of been my favourite of the bunch since I discovered a proper real, metal sai my parents for some reason had hidden away in a closet...)
Thank you for your continued support, and if you have any comments and questions make sure to drop them in the comments below! (And I'll read and reply when I get back home later tonight because I need to get ready to head to work).
Again, thanks, and have a good day/evening/night!

Hello! As May is coming to an end I just want to drop a quick reminder to the $10 SUPPORTER tier patrons to download "Sarge" while he is free this month. You will still be able to buy him at a 50% discount afterwards with the Supporter tier discount code, but I recommend grabbing him even if you don't plan on printing him, just in case!
Direct link to the Supporter Rewards page, you will find the download under the May section :)

Here's the $10 Supporter tier exclusive Night's Watch edition Jon Snow bust that I promised. If you have already printed the regular edition the base should be compatible with this one.
Make sure to read the supplied PDF with instruction (though they are pretty much identical to the other Jon Snow bust).
You can find it as usual in the PATRON ZONE!
Thank you for your continued support! ❤️

Tonight I started work on the Jon Snow that will be exclusive to my $10 Supporter tier patrons. I'm considering giving him the Night's Watch uniform to set him aside even more, and I think it's probably the version of Jon that most people probably hold dear to their hearts. Any thoughts on this?

IMPORTANT UPDATE: Got a report that the keying of base and main parts weren't matching up, so I did some investigation and it seems I uploaded the wrong base part. Oops... If you re-download the ZIP file again it contains an updated base model that has a male key that matches the female of the main part. Sorry about this :( So if you've downloaded before 7:05 PM Tuesday, May 21, 2019 (GMT+2) you need to grab the new one!
Greetings, dear Patrons! Today's release will be an early access one where you (both Supporter and Donor tier patrons) get your hands on, and will be able to start printing before everyone else, before I release it to MyMiniFactory later this week.
TO DOWNLOAD: Head over to THE PATRON ZONE where you can click through to your tier's Reward Page section.
I'm working on a special exclusive Patreon-version, for the $10 Supporter tier, in which Jon will have his more famous, wildly grown hair out loose. So stay tuned for that!
In other news: I'm still working on the full Wonder Woman figure, but it's proving to be more challenging than I first anticipated, and I've needed to take a little break from it (hence Jon here). Rest assured it's coming, though!

A little something extra (even for the DONOR patrons).
Here's the 3D sculpt equivalent of a sketch, or a doodle, from a sketchbook. I'm calling it a "quickie". I promised I'd once in a while drop some of these in your lap, and here's the first one. I haven't printed this guy myself so he comes without any and all guarantees, but he looks pretty printable sliced :)
As usual he can be grabbed from the PATRON ZONE. And yes, again, even you lovely $1 DONOR patrons get him!
... oh, and yes I'm aware his head looks a bit like a penis from behind, so perhaps don't face that part forward...

As I'm finishing up the Wonder Woman statue it is becoming clear the time required to make a full figure is a bit more substantial than simply a bust. I'm trying to keep the level of detail comparable to the two so if you decide to print the statue big, you can do so without losing detail.
So a quick question. I'm wondering what you, my dear patrons, prefer I focus on mainly: busts or full figures?

Hello, people!
I figured I would drop an update on my progress with the full Wonder Woman statue that will go out to my Supporter tier patrons as soon as possible. The pose needs some tweaking before I start going into final details with the sword, and other accessories, but it is coming along (albeit slowly). The Lasso of Truth needs to be there as well, but I have a few ideas I'm trying out.
Oh, and that thumbnail focus is entirely accidental... :D

I started work on converting the Wonder Woman bust into a full figure today and figured I would show you guys the progress so far. As soon as I have the base pose done (still experimenting to get it as printing friendly as possible) I will start on the detailing :)
Thank you all for sticking around :)

Hello there! First thing out this lovely May for the SUPPORTER patrons is something I've been wanting to finish up for a long while: Wonder Woman. This is a bust version, and the plan is to make a full statue at a later date, which I'm equally excited and terrified about :D
You can find her as usual in THE PATRON ZONE (I keep typing "danger zone", every time...) and comes in two versions: a supportless, and one which requires supports under the chin if you (like me) are getting a little bit tired of the head-tilted-back effect.
Thank you for sticking with me, and I hope you enjoy this print :)

I'm test printing the Wonder Woman that will be out for May, and so far it's going pretty well, but I've discovered a few things I need to alter. Looks like I'll be releasing a couple of versions, one which will require supports under the chin (the one in the photo), and one with the head tilted more back to be completely supportless, and quite possibly a third one with a bit different pose.
This test print stands 200mm tall, was printed in PLA on my Prusa MK3S using a 0.4mm nozzle at 0.12mm layers and took 14h 40m.

A He-Man bust is the very first exclusive Patreon sculpt for the SUPPORTER tier patrons :)
As a SUPPORTER patron you can download the STL file from THE PATRON ZONE on my website, under BENEFITS. Just make sure you are logged in, and authenticated via Patreon.
Update #1: The top part has been modified slightly to make it easier to print without supports.

As a bonus, how about an embarrassing personal story?
At the tender age of five, while at pre-school, I almost broke a few ribs because I had been watching He-Man. In an effort to impress the girl I had a crush on (Oh, Maria…) I pulled the imaginary Power Sword from my back, yelled the magic words which, in my mind, transformed me from a fat little kid to a muscular bodybuilder, and rushed the little playground castle on top of which she stood. Of course, still being a fat little kid I smashed chest into the castle and fall over in a whimpering mess clutching what should have been broken ribs, but were in fact mostly embarrassed, wounded pride.
