HSH2 Pg 4 Progress 2

Here's a quick shot of the line work for page 4.  One of the best things about creating comics is I get to draw cool stuff like this! A fierce Sharlene face!

I've also been experimenting with techniques for lettering (so fun!). Found a quick and easy way to create thought bubbles by sketching in their shape with a blue marker, adjusting the positioning around the words, and then filling it with white before stroking it on the inside (preserving the sharper edges). No vector tools here but...

HSH2 Pg 4 Progress (nailing the sequence)

This panel was harder than it seems! Not because drawing the figures were difficult, but getting the sequential poses and spacing right took a little effort. I studied some cheerleader tumbling videos to work this out... 

To make this look right the figures needed to be scaled correctly, but they also had spaced out in perspective appropriately. Although I measured the distances I had to fudge the spacing a little so that the sequence would read... otherwise the figures at the end would b...

HSH2, Page 3 High Res

Hmmm, given that images need to be zipped to preserve losslessness, I wonder if it wouldn't be more  convenient for everyone if I simply waited until the end of the month and uploaded a zip of all the pages for that month in high res... it might just be easier? than having to download a zip for each new page...

Something to think about.

Oh, and this page received some minor tweaking, mostly related to word bubbles, but nothing consequential.

And... let the shenanigans begin! What, you didn't think this story was gonna be that serious, did you? Don't worry, it'll be plenty sexy too!

Fun fact about this page. I actually talked about cheerleading with one of my wife's friends, who coincidentally, is a high school cheerleading coach. I was able to glean some of the technical terms for the moves they perform to make the dialog here seem a bit more realistic. Always do your research!

HSH2 Pg 3 Progress (lines)

Pretty happy with how this panel turned out in particular. I originally had Sharlene's hand placed between her thighs. This worked too, but the gesture wasn't as elegant, and lacked a sense of movement. Here I think the motion is better conveyed. The hand slightly breaking out of the panel worked well too (now I wonder what a good sound effect would be. Maybe a "SPLOP" ? Hmmm).

Chapter 2 Script Peek

So here’s a little something I thought you might find interesting. It’s a peek at my script for Chapter 2. I’ve mentioned this in the past, but I didn’t actually write a script for HSH Chapter 1. The story mostly existed in my head, and as the comic progressed I’d write out bits of dialog before I’d start a new page. I’ve never done anything like this before.

HSH2 Pg 3 Progress (eyes on the prize)

Comics always surprise me. Here's a panel I wasn't expecting to draw. But as I read through my script and prepare my layouts I'm inevitably faced with unforeseen changes.

This was supposed to be a smaller panel, but in order to keep the story beats moving along the way I need them to the page required a larger panel. And that's a-ok, as this panel simply reinforces Sharlene's character and helps set the scene.

HSH2, Page 1 & 2 High Res

When I uploaded high res comic pages in the past I typically resized them to about 50% or so, because I thought at near 6,000 pixels the images were really TOO big.

However, I recently decided... fuck it. Why not give you the original sized images in PNG quality? No resizing. No compression.

These are BIG pages. But they look GOOD. And you signed up for high resolution files, right?

Hot Shit High Ch 2, Page 1 & 2

The first two pages of Hot Shit High Chapter 2 are done! Thank-you all so much for being patient with me on these. I was SO worried the pages wouldn't come out the way I wanted them too, but I'm pretty happy with them!

AAAAhhhhhh!! I can't even believe I'm looking at it! Seeing the story I worked so hard on finally coming to life is making me feel so emotional right now. I feel like laughing and crying at the same time.

HSH2 Pg2 Progress (butts galore!)

Here are the butts from last night's workshop stream (this is the first panel from the second page of the comic). In the stream I broke down important booty facts and explained to the viewers how to create a proper butt and even showed off some little secrets to really make that booty pop.
