After very close to a year of tinkering with these things, off and on, I finally managed to put one together, to do a proper shooting video. Which I promised back in... like, April. :)
Except Ma Nature had other plans, and spent the entire day dumping another foot-and-a-half of snow on us, and counting. (It's supposed to keep snowing, off and on, for the next week.)
When we get a little break, and I've managed to plow out some paths, I'll dig out some paint and do up a prope...

Going off that small brass part I made the other day, I tried to put together a better, longer video that showed more of the process. I still managed to skip several steps, but it gives you the gist of it.
I'm still very new at this sort of thing, and both filming and editing is tricky- practice, practice, practice. :)
Let me know what'cha think- good or bad. Changes? Ideas?

Not my video, just a quick shot of one I recently built for a customer, who had it annoed and then assembled it.

One fun bit from my Thanksgiving week (hope yours were fun, too!)
Over on one of the paintball boards, some regulars were lamenting the fact that a certain part called a cup seal, for an antique marker called a Mega-Z, was no longer available, and without it, the gun wouldn't work anymore.
I have one of them, so on the 21st, I cracked it open, made some measurements of the offending part, ordered some appropriate O-rings, and when they came in on the 25th, sat down to program the ...

I have to apologize for the latest bout of radio silence, but I've been working like a dog- or bear- to try and get a whole basketful of things done before the end of the year. Which includes some well-overdue customer work.
The penultimate, and arguably the most important- of those was this. One of the last of this year's batch of Vee-Twin Autococker bodies.
This, honestly, should have been finished and out the door six months ago, but this has been such a screwed-up year for me ...

This is the one I was looking for when I found the Jinx/Kasi pic. :)
This one's from back when I ran the T-shirt preorders. I used a temporary storefront app, and decorated it with TWB artwork- for one holiday run that started in October, I had some Halloween themed stuff.
This one probably dates back to around '06.

This is a crop of some old wallpaper artwork from back in 2011, when Jinx and Kasi went trick-or-treating.
I always liked how it came out, but man did it take a while back in those pre-tablet days, when I had to do it all with a mouse. :)
Anyway, hope you had a fun Halloween weekend!

Like the title strip says, Kathy from Carry On helped write the following story- really, she laid out the whole thing, and I've basically just been adding a little TEB flavor to it. :)
She also gave me a fairly complete "storyboard" of sketches that I've been using to base the artwork on. Above is her sketch, pasted into my comic panel- you can see I put a lot of work into it. :)
And, if you'll pardon the pun, ...

Sorry I haven't had time to further the adventures of Swampy & Jinx, but I've been working on a super-special holiday storyline. It's not really a "holiday" storyline- sorry, no zombies- it's just a really cool storyline that will happen to run through most of the holiday season.
I'm having a blast drawing it, but that also means there's a TON more work than in a typical strip. I'm trying like heck to get a good solid buffer in place before launch, and it'll be a capital-T Task to k...

I got invited along with a small get-together, mainly just for fun, kind of an "end of summer" thing. Good hot-dogs (actually brats and reindeer sausage) some even better chili, a whole pile of old bowling balls, and a bucket of FG Pyrodex. :)
Cinematography wasn't great, but I didn't bring a tripod, or the extra GoPros I could have put up front, etc. I was just trying to stay out of the way.
Apparently one other fellow that was supposed to brin...

Very rough, but a good sample of the sketch-and-'ink' first stage of a comic.
It's been a busy past week or so in the shop, but feelin' a bit under the weather today so I'm takin' it easy.

A bit overdue, but finally complete. The fifth in the series, and I think the best yet.
And yes, I still owe a final video on the build. It was supposed to be "next week"... back in, like, May. :)

I rather stupidly mis-set the scheduler at the beginning of the week, and today's update tried to be last Friday's. I've band-aided it with today's strip, but the "back" button, for the time being, takes you to last Thursday.
We'll force a refresh on the site as soon as Curt's had his coffee, and it should be back to normal after that.
You may rescind 1 (one) nice thing you've ever said about me, at your convenience.
[EDIT]
Yep. Flubdubbered-up again. I re-...

Sorry about skipping this weeks Swampy & Jinx update, but it was a busy, and as usual, often frustrating week, and I barely had time to get the regular strip out.
As a bit of an apology, I thought I'd dig out a piece that some of you may not have seen yet.
Quite a few years back- this one dates to 2010- I would periodically do up wallpapers for readers. (This was back when more people read the strip on desktop PCs than 'phones. :) )

The top three choices were, Swampy & Jinx Blow Something Up with 32%, Cheesecake at 28%, and a short side-story at 20%.
None of the rest even broke 10%.
Now, don't worry, as we'll get to all of them at some point, but for the moment, as suggested in the poll thread, we'll combine two of the three- and have a short story of Swampy and Jinx blowing something up. :)
Now I just have to decide whether that happens at the store, the paintball field or the coffee shop. :)

I'm not sure I've used the "poll" option here yet, or if I have, it hasn't been very often, so let's have a vote: Help choose the subject for the next bit of artwork! One vote each, Patrons only, and I'll close voting around Friday night or Saturday.
And yes, there will be other votes and other options later, as time permits. :)
[Edit] One thing I've been wondering about, and would like to ask: If I did do a "side story" storyline, and it went on for, say, three weeks or a m...
