Full-Res of Twitch temireFish Emote

This is my smallest full-res post ever, lmao. The reason this isn't bigger is because of how big it was going to be viewed in the end - 28x28 pixels in size. I intentionally sketched this on a very small canvas in order to force me to consolidate details and keep things simple. There was simply not enough pixel density to get too detailed, and it was entirely on purpose. In the end, it made for a better emote. :3

I should consider making this into a pin at some point!

Here are the steps that went into making my first ever Twitch emote! :3

Originally Tem had his eyes closed in this emote, but after resizing it down to the size you'd see it on Twitch, you couldn't even see them - it looked like he had no eyes entirely. I tried only closing one, but then it looked like he was missing one eye, haha. In the end, I opened both of them for easy, quick recognition at the small, 28x28 pixel size!

WIPs for PNGTuber Temiree (+Animation!)

Here's the original sketch for my PNGTuber character, plus the stages of developing him. Also, I've included the original animated gifs! I ended up separating the hands and the body in the end, because Tem speaking would reset the hand animation at the same time, making it look kind of unnatural. Having his paws as a separate image means it loops on it's own, helping it feel more natural. Plus, it's way easier to swap out paw-related props for him, such as giving him a stylus, a racing wheel,...

WIPs for Little Runt (Page 68) (+Alternate Page Sketch!)

As I mentioned on my previous post, I decided to change both the angle of the first panel, and also make shadow Nes more fearful. 

A) I wanted Nes to feel more imposing and scary.

B) I felt a stronger angle, and not a profile angle, would be more dramatic.

C) I felt shadow Nes looking more afraid would make him more sympathetic. 

You can see how the final sketch is so much stronger than the first pass. :3

Originally the "trying to be perfect is not a strength, Nes" was going to be on this page, but I moved it to an earlier page because I felt it was stronger there, and silence was stronger here. I also made the top panel a perspective shot rather than a profile shot, since I felt having Nes fill the frame felt more imposing, and felt more dramatic. Finally, I also made shadow Nes way more fearful of the coming impact rather than just accepting it. I felt it would make him look more sympathetic...

Little Runt (Page 69)

I struggled a lot with the dialogue on this page, trying to make it feel natural, progress the story, and not repeat myself too much. In the end, I think I'm happy with this! It turned out pretty nice.

To finish off the commissions I did for him, here is Myanmor and Behemoth lovingly embracing each other. :3

This will also be stickerfied! Or at least a cropped version of it. This was originally supposed to be a sticker on it's own, but was expanded to a full-body commission.

As a side note, Myanmor-1 is the one that chose the background color palette, and I turned it into an actual abstract background. I think he did a good job! It made it easy for me. :D

I really love how this one turned out! I used to struggle a lot with feline faces, but I've gotten better!

I colored and shaded this one differently than I normally would! For the coloring, I was asked to do my own take on Behemoth's fur pattern, so I figured that out on the first head before applying it to the others in my usual style. For the shading, because the fur pattern was on the detailed side, I filled the character with a solid color to resemble a statue, shaded him that way, then turned the color off afterwards. I like it when blushing characters have red accents on their design. It makes it very easy to color match. :D

[NOTE: As of the time of me queuing this, the stickers haven't been converted yet. If they're missing... it's cause I forgot to add them, and I'll fix it shortly. >_>)

The alternate is the extra face at the end of the image sequence. It was the first pass of the Silly/Goofy one in the bottom left, but I decided it wasn't looking quite right, and the face was looking a little warped, so I started over on it from scratch.  I never got around to drawing the fins on it either. ^^;

I'm sad to see the Olympics come to an end, but there were a few things that happened that I really wanted to see happen, such as Andre De Grasse finally getting a gold, and same for our women's soccer team, so I can't complain too much. <3

Besides, the winter Olympics are coming up in a six months, lol, and the summer ones again in just a few years. I won't have to wait that long, hah...

Yesterday was showing how the sketch developed, and today it's about the coloring! I decided to keep flat coloring for this, since it seems to work well with non-ink linework. :3

There's no dialogue in the last image because it's something I'm still working on getting just right.

WIPs for Little Runt (Page 67)

As you can see, I played around a lot with the mouth and ears. Ears up or down? Mouth open or closed? What about partially open/down? You get the idea. In the end I'm happy with what I chose. Him sighing or saying something doesn't really add anything, and having his ears up helps him show he's entering a new frame of mind. I decided to give the viewer a chance to piece things together themselves.

Originally Nes was going to look from the side in the bottom two panels, as opposed to directly at the camera, but I decided that him looking directly at the camera, and us looking directly into his eyes, was more impactful. I also decided to close his eyes for the final panel of the page!
