In 1980, an Irish racehorse named Shergar took the industry by storm, becoming a racing champion and national treasure. Not sure if it’s the tenderness of author Jeremy Massey’s writing or the distressing way in which Paul vanished, but whilst none of these episodes are made for easy listening, there’s a particular density of sorrow in this one. Heartbreaking, lump-in-your-throat stuff.
