For some reason, the image for this disappeared, so I’ll repost.
Every time I see Wiana do this, I’m amazed. When I had her show it off to Georgia Brown the first time they met, she was flabbergasted, too.
Wiana can work her muscles like that, i guess by trial and error.
But there is a yoga practice called Nauli Kria which uses similar technique just more structured.
And that looks freaky AF.
Check this out.

A nice miniseries with Dharma on the studio floor. I’m so happy I purchased this carpet. The “homey” feeling of a rug makes it much, should we say, closer to home, or believable.
And that matters for images like this.
If it’s believable, you can better relate to an image, and it becomes more interesting or enticing than if it were shot on a grey background.
Do you agree?
Does including non-studio props and environment make images more interesting?

I shot this set with Wiana on top of a balcony, at the tail end (pun intended) of a more regular nude set.
It all started with Wiana wearing a silver metallic blouse that broke.

Then, we dropped the thong and turned the blouse into a short “fast and furious " length skirt.
That turned out to be too hot, so we ditched the skirt too, which certainly did not decrease the...

Gracie Sweet is a star on a box.
Long limbs, and she is a great mover, and can muster up elegant expressions. I have so many fantastic images from a short shoot with her.
The light is a 57" Zeppelin with the diffuser and a softgrid.
Btw: I have an up-coming Studio Day with Gracie In My Studio on June 29. See linktr.ee/thomasholmphoto for more info.

This is a favorite location in Mallorca - or rather, it used to be until it was renovated. It’s an old watchtower on the northern end of the island overlooking the water.
Not that I am illuding anyone that anyone is watching the water when Louloi is standing where she is.
These were shot with a 16-35mm (set from 22-35 mm).

A couple of fun and bootylicious images with Nat playing around on a picnic table.
Mmmm, reminds me I’m hungry 😇
This was shot in the open shade, with a large building to one side, which helped direct the light and highlight her beautiful body.

Unfortunately, this is one of the last remaining images of Depani Malika (until I can set up another shoot—unfortunately, she lives about 1000 km away and doesn’t travel much).
https://www.instagram.com/depanimalika/
She is an accomplished glamour model (and with those attributes and Bambi eyes, it makes total sense).

I shot these as a demo while teaching a 1:1 workshop on studio light last year.
I set up Hollywood Noir-type lighting consisting of two Fresnel spots:
The main one from the side to create hard shadows with plenty of shape, and the second (smaller) close to the camera to lighten the shadows ever so slightly, so that you can see detail without ruining the hard light or having the perception of two lights being used.
And the model, of course, is Wiana.

I’m not implying that Mynte is a Cigar, obviously.
This is a simple image that mainly worked because of her cheeky expression and gorgeous body.
The light here is a Zeppelin 57” deep umbrella with a couple of black flags to restrict light on the background, and one to provide negative fill and keep shadows dark.

I recently spent a couple of days with Wiana and The Endless Sinner in a spectacularly refurbished water tower, and as you will see ahead, the shoots turned smoking hot during our time there.
I mostly shoot nudes, but on this occasion, the girls got to play with a lot of accessories, leading to some steaming hot, and slightly more kinky images.
And I can safely say: You ain’t seen nothing yet!
Let me interject with a question:
Do you like this ki...

A 1-minute timelapse with Aja at the Apis Temple. Back when I shot this, my phone was not capable of storing much video, so I defaulted to timelapse.

Aja in the Apis temple, a small fertility temple near the Copenhagen Zoo. We shot this early in the morning when only the occasional jogger and mothers with baby strollers were out and about.
I love to work with dancers.
Their ingrained posture and elegant use of limbs trump most other models in grace and flexibility.
What are your favorite kinds of models?

When working with models, I find there are several different types, and of course, there are crossovers.
The Primadonna, who can’t get up early in the morning, and whose world falls apart if she breaks a fingernail.
The super beautiful women know they are lovely, but they often have a preconceived idea of their appearance and do not want to be photographed from other angles. They don’t thrive in cold weather or public.
The art models who pride t...

BTS from shooting Clara René in Edmayer's secret.

Edmayers Secret is a relatively little-known area in Arizona, relatively close to Kanab. Luckilu is still not famous, like The Wave, South/North Coyote Buttes, Buckskin Gulch, etc., so it’s a place you can still have more or less to yourself.
We hiked there for 6 hours and didn’t meet another human being.
The image is Clara Rene, an amazing model who is trying to be one with nature (and doing so very well).
The light is just the good ole’ sun doing its thing.

Hey guys, I welcome you once more to a sweet month on Patreon with a lot of images and movies.

We’ll start with Naomi on a sofa (above), followed by Clara René in the wild.
Then some WILD model images (main image) and a discussion about models in general, followed by a tad of ballet in a fertility temple to inject a bit of culture 😉.
Next, Wiana gets to see the whip by The Endl...

I shot these of the gorgeous Naomi Model in my studio some years ago, but I never got around to editing them.
I remember wanting to create a ring-flash look, so I set up a medium-sized silver umbrella just above the camera. This created shadows on both sides of the body. However, since the light is positioned above the camera, I don’t have any shadow over her head, which is no significant loss.
Due to the size of the umbrella, the effect is a bit smoother or flatter than a regular...

Daniella Carter is on a box lit by a 57” Zeppelin, equipped with a diffuser and soft grid. Although it’s not the most elegant work I’ve produced, Daniella, who contrasts sharply with yesterday's model, requires that no intimate areas are visible.
For, erm, anatomical reasons, I had to position the shadow on the right.
I respect all the model's boundaries, of course, but with reference to yesterday's post, for a photographer, it’s easier to create great images when you ...

I’m unsure whether Belzen plays chess, but she has an amazing endgame, in my opinion.
This is backlit ambient light from my two studio windows on a cold winter day with a deep blue sky.
The blue sky made me like the cooler hues of the raw files, so I accentuated the color a bit to make her stand out even further.
I’m a sucker for backlight:
It is one of the easiest ways of lighting a nude body. The only thing to remember is the more significant parts of the bod...

Nobody likes tan lines, and Clara Sinclair takes this very seriously!
Just kidding; the final image from a series shot in a small summer cabin with the evening sun streaming through the windows.
I love shooting with uninhibited (and exhibitionistic) women.
There is no need to tiptoe around if you feel like shooting something a bit more explicit or erotic; as long as you can explain your idea, they are up for it 99% of the time if they trust you.

The endless Sinner in some very enticing light:
This is sunlight diffused through a Lee Opal filter through my studio windows, further controlled with my blinds.
As I usually say:
When you have a great model and good lighting, all you need to do is point the camera in the right direction and try to keep up (and keep encouraging the model, of course).
