He had tarried overlong

Whee! Spent the afternoon reinstalling Photoshop and *some* Windows library function module thingummy after accidentally shooting everything up by trying to give it more cache space.

Long story short: Here's Tuor! ^___^ Original is going up for sale on Etsy. I think. ... ;)

Video is coming - I recorded smaller bits this time and left out bits in between if it was just a repetition of the same (coughreedscough), so I hope it'll be more interesting to follow, and c...

Making use of the last childless day... kiddos coming home today.

The Noontide of Valinor

It's done! What a strange colour scheme for me, but I love it. The same can't be said about my scanner; whenever I give it a picture to scan that's wildly off my usual colours, it butchers them completely, in what is probably its way of saying, "Yellow and teal, woman? You've got to be kidding me!" 

It took about an hour of postwork in Photoshop to make this one look like the original again, but yay, that was worth it.

Okay, caffeine-induced drawing frenzy. O_o Next commission: Finwë and Míriel at Cuivienen, with Elwë in the background. I need something calming now. I think some Supernatural binge-watching might do the trick.

Can't settle on a title. "Tuor and the swans" sounds boring, "And he knew them for a sign that he had tarried overlong" is a tad long.

Tuor and the swans

I spent the weekend with my parents on the North Sea and well... I needed to draw wind and rushes. And the I realised I had barely ever drawn Tuor.

This took a lot longer than the last two, so I sped it up to x16. If I'd remembered to put my water glass on the left, it would look a lot calmer and you wouldn't have my arm flitting across the image all the time. Ah well. Next time. ;)

Nienor upon Haudh-en-Elleth

This is one of the images that turn out totally different from what I envisioned, but not in a bad way.

(Oh, yes, it's totally not the thunderstorm Tolkien describes, but it wasn't supposed to be. ;))

(Am I getting on your nerves yet? Sorry - that's what my ideal holidays are like. Dreary, non-artsy school time will come soon enough...)

I decided to go the other way with the Nienor painting after all - not cold blues, but diluted warm, earthy oranges, yellows and reds. I just couldn't see those blues.

Little goodies from Moo, just ordered - expect some of them on your post soon (stickers)! The little business cards should be really cool on conventions. Gosh, someone stop me. Moo is having a sale and they do such cool things...
