Sister Superior: The Face

Something I wanted to try for a while was an alternate approach to painting faces. This is a way to paint faces, that gives quick, easy contrast, interesting color shades and smooth results in relatively short ammount of time. It's best suited for small faces like this one too. Hope you like it!

Lord of Blights - PART 3: NMM Copper Colors

Quick August Update

Hey Everyone!

I spent the last few days and actually a lot of the month working on Youtube content. I think all of you are aware that the patreon would probably not be where it is without the Youtube channel - in fact I would wager that 90% of you only are here because of it :) thank you!

Sister Superior PDF - Part 1

Like I said, I will upload PDFs more regularly, so here is the first part of the Sister Superior PDF. These parts will be a bit more raw as far as polishing them goes, but they have the same ammount of information and pictures as usual.

I will of course put all the parts together into a polished version, once everything is done, the way you are used to.

This is trying to do the more regular PDF content you deserve, while still keeping the quality high.

Juli Update

Here is a quick Juli Update: I am currently working on the Lord of Blights for the Everchosen competition on the 27th. There will be a few videos about this as well as a PDF.

A quick and effective way for doing reds! The goal was to have good contrast, combined with the material still reading as red and the highlights being rather subtle.

Should I add music to the Patreon videos?

The idea came up on the discord, or rather the notion, that the video passages where I don't explain things should have some music to break the silence. 

I always thought a minimalistic approach would be good here since not everyone likes the same music and sometimes people would listen to their own music while watching the videos. However I also understand why music could help and improve the viewing experience.

Sister Superior Armor Part 1 (Color Choice, Highlightpatterns)

This is part 1 of the armor of the Sister Superior. I was focusing on showing what colors I think work best on this type of black armor, that is trying to replicate the artwork by Karl Kopinski.

Greater Possessed - Claw and Raw Meat Skintones

The Idea was to create raw skin, remeniscent of raw meat, with tendons showing and transitioning into a claw that looks chitinous and alien. Working with a subtle complementary contrast for the spikes.
