Found some Additional Source Voice files for Nina

Maybe I can improve her voice in the game. Same speaker, but these produce a voice clone that is less strident, and a bit deeper and warmer. Looking like by the time I'm doing sound for release 2, ElevenLabs should have some better tools for tweaking scripts.

Release 2 Planning Question...

So I'm planning out release 2, and I have a question. Right now, the game allows you to choose your name (the name of the MC). if you don't choose,your name is "Brian Bannister". But you can choose your own name or whatever you like.

Originally I was going to also allow you to choose a "nickname", and it was to be phrased something like this: "What is a diminutive nickname - the kind of name a woman might call you if she wanted to humiliate you or make you feel small?"

The Alpha Gender Release Day!!!

The Alpha Gender v.2 is now completed! Download links have been provided to Gold tier Patrons. As per the Patreon tier benefits, in 1 week the Silver tier Patrons will get download links, then in 2 weeks the Bronze tier Patrons, and in 3 weeks all other Patrons. VN and Animation Update

I'm rendering this last animation now (above is a rendered frame). It's 300 frames and there's a problem that shows up at about frame 200 that I'd like to fix. Once I reach that point I'm going to "re-simulate" hair animation and hope I can avoid the problem and then continue rendering the rest.

As it is I think I'll likely be able to provide game download links to Gold Tier Patrons some time Friday or at latest Saturday. If you're Silver Tier, you get it a week later. If you're Bronze ...

Coding Almost Complete

As I mentioned earlier, my programmer vanished completely, and I've had to pick up where he left off. I've been coding and testing, and now have only one scene to finish, which will be done today. My Game Coder is AWOL!

Another Coding Progress Update

Things are going great! I've now gotten to run through the first chapter (out of 2) of the game. Looks AWESOME, but there are quite a few changes that need to be made. Another Coding Update... and other stuff!

Things are steaming along very well! As he codes I'm sending him dialogue files for each scene, edited to make his work quicker, trying to stay ahead of him. Sometimes I have to re-crop voice files so they maych the dialogue you'll see on screen. I'm hoping that by the end of today I'll be able to get him everything he needs through to the end of the first chapter: all dialogue files, and any voice files cropped that need it.

Coding Update + One More Animation!

So now my coder guy's finals are done and he's plowing ahead, which is very nice! There are two chapters in this first release... he thinks he'll be done with the first one by the end of this weekend. Personally I doubt it, but we'll see.

Coding Update

I've been in contact with my coder, and he quickly sent me the code for scene 1 (the one with Chloe, the narrator). I loved it! Added some changes to the UI, and gave him my input on music and SFX sound levels. Since then to be honest he's been slow. He's a college student, and just finishing (finished now?) finals, so that's a reasonable excuxe. But I'm now going to closely watch his communication and work output over the next 3-4 days. So! I just finished picking music for the VN. Didn't take much time at all really, and I'm VERY happy with what I found. Now it's possible that while testing things out I might decide that in fact a music track I really liked doesn't work, and I'll want to change it. But based on how easy it was to find what I needed, I don't expect that to be a problem.

Just wanted to update everyone. Working on sound as you know. it's a bigger pursuit that I expected but still it's going well. As far as sound effects and voice I'd say I'm about, or maybe further than, half-way done. I haven't really started with music except picking one tune. MC's Voice... meh... and a CHALLENGE!

I've decided I don't like the MC's voice. The problem is that it's too unemotional. I can't get the AI engine to inject any sort of anger, fear or sadness into it, no matter what I do. I'll certainly do a search to find a good voice candidate to clone, but I'd love some suggestions from you guys as well.

So the CHALLENGE is: Help me find a suitable voice I can CLONE with the AI to give the MC a new voice.

Because... why not? Had to do some experimentation to find out what the capabilities of this new AI toy are.... I think you'll find the emotional content greatly enhanced.

How to get access to the Google Drive

Everytime I drop an animation or something I get multiple Google Drive access request emails. Sometimes I can figure out who sent them and then immediately grant access. But most times I have no idea which of you are asking for access, and because it might, or probably, be a non-Patron I have to reply and confirm who they are before granting access. 9 times out of 10 I get no reply, so I don't grant access.
