I managed to FINALLY fix my broken upload speed. I have no idea how I fixed it, or why it was broken in the first place. I am just happy the issue is fixed to be honest.

A very long story of China

Just letting you know, I finished the first two books for the China video. And just from the info I gathered out of them in basic notes. I think this video might be up to 12 hours long in the end.

Unfortunate problems with uploading

I just spent 8 hours uploading the first part of the Turkey video and it only uploaded 15%

An Idea for long videos

I have an idea and would like to hear your opinion and poll you on it.

When I make a video that is over 2 hours long, what would you think of me splitting it up into parts, uploading the parts to my second channel and uploading the long unedited version to the main channel?

The Congo Dilema

Once the votes for the next short were counted, I started buying books and researching the Congo video. I have now been doing this for a while (basically i dedicated a few hours of each day to reading books, and so now i read the Congo books) and encountered a problem. This is a HUGE topic. Massive. Fascinating. And very very very Interesting. And it consequently poses a problem that we need to discuss.

As some of you may or may not know, I have been saving up money for the last 3-4 months to buy myself a drawing pad (I put aside 20 Euros a week). The reason is that drawing the countryballs with a mouse is very time consuming, and friends & subscribers of mine guaranteed me that if I had a drawing pad and learned how to use it, it would speed up the process enormously. I have so far set aside 300 Euros. In total, I want to set aside 600, which I will have within the next 3-4...

No video for January and Congo issue

I am working as hard as I can, but I can already tell that the video on Turkey and Neo Ottomansims will not be finished this month. Expect it within the first week of the next month. Additionally, there is an issue with the Congo video that I will be discussing with the big patreons soon. Which is that I might change the Congo video from a short video to a 1-2 hour video, if they approve of that.

Will be gone for a week or two.

With the votes done, I have to inform you that I intend to sign off for a while. Maybe a week or two, in which you won't be hearing much from me outside of my twitter account, and maybe a few appearances on discord.

An Idea for a reward

As you all know there are several patreon tiers. I also made a 50$ tier. But... in all honesty.... I never expected someone to actually give me that much money for my videos. but there you are... proving me wrong. lol

So. Since the tiers require different degrees of rewards, I had this idea, but I need to ask you what you think of it. How about, every month, I buy one of the books I used in a video for one of the 50$ tier patreons?

 So.... it happened. There was a tie in the vote for the next long video (1-2 hours long) that I would make after the Turkey video.  The tie was between the Ireland documentary and a long form China documentary.

The other topic that got a lot of votes was a documentary about Switzerland. So i will add it here for good measure.

I have finally gotten to open a twitch account at the request of a friend of mine. I believe this is where we could do a monthy patreon podcast, once I figured out how to use the platform, lol.

What do we do with a tie?

As you may or may not be aware, the high tier patreons who donate 20$ or more per video, are currently voting on which long topic video should come after the Turkey video. Meaning, which 1-2 hour long video should be next. And currently there is a tie in the vote. There are still 2-3 days to vote on the matter, so it can still change, but.... it got me thinking.

What should I do when there is a tie in the vote? I thought of these solutions:
