So, after some thought, I've decided to go with the 'eye color matches whoever is control of the body' route, which is why Jess' eyes suddenly turned blue now that Felix is in control. They aren't physically blue of course, this is just to better illustrate who is in control of the body at each moment.

Which means that now I have to be careful about the eye color I give to any new characters in case they do any body piloting in the future.

So this is the strip where I first came up with the idea for Lucy, and then I had to go back a strip and add her. If I had planned ahead, I would have liked to have had her in Jess' bedroom when Felix joined her stream.

Meet Lucy everyone! Is the name Lucy too close to Lisa? Should I rename her to Penny? She just felt like a 'Lucy' to me for some reason.

Lucy is a former Epilepsy Response Dog (as will be explained in story in the next strip). I've been debating whether or not to include Lucy, since as a very social person Jess wouldn't be home that much. And I imagine Jess as the kind of person who would feel really bad about leaving Lucy home alone when she goes to class or goes out to socialize after...

I had gone back to adjust some dialogue in an upcoming update in Chapter 17 and decided that in one panel, it would be nice to have Robin's faerie form peek through. The final panel will be a mixture of these two images, so I figured I'd upload the non-mixed version of Faerie Robin.

So I'm not up to date with the latest regarding the whole dilemma of "how do you know that you are in a simulation," but my understanding is that the only why to know for sure is if you can find a flaw in the simulation that gives it away, if you can't find a flaw, there's no way to be sure (meaning that in a simulation there can be certainty, but in the real world, you are always left with uncertainty).

The next update for Liam's Journey is going to be Otto running through the woods for two days in the nude as a Wolf Girl.

But on the other hand, it feels like Otto would want to skin that deer and make herself some clothing (hand waving that the only suitable animal hide outfit I have to use is cured leather), or 'borrow' some clothing drying on a clothes line.

Going natural feels like the way to go, but I keep on coming back to idea that Otto might want to grab some clothes.

Extras - Fun with a Toon Shader

So, Daz just released a decent Toon Shader for their software, and after playing around with it, it feels promising (The 3D software Blender is really good with Toon Shaders, but I just haven't found a posing system in Blender that is as easy to use, quick, and ready to go as what I use with Daz).

Of course this toon shader still suffers from that weird lifelessness or rigidity that I find a lot of 3D cel-shaded art has. There's just something more dynamic that hand drawn art has compar...

Originally I was going to split this into two posts, but then I ran out of steam!

I also had a lot of trouble deciding on the dialogue, so the second half of these panels is all dialogue I wrote last minute this morning. I hope there aren't too many mistakes!
