Did you know Pandora’s box was actually a jar? What kinda phoning-it-in, home-by-five, I-get-paid-the-same-either-way translator signed off on that? Does it change the meaning and significance of the story? Probably not. Actually, it does make more sense as a box. How do you open a jar? Well, I guess some jars do have lids. Maybe the translator forgot that for a second too and that’s why he assumed it was a box? Anyway, happy pride month!
