Having core characters makes the game easier to code and also allows me to build storylines around these characters. For those of you who have read the Part 3 alpha or beta release, I would like to know which character has not been given enough time throughout chapters 8 - 12. This game has a large cast of characters, and there is only so much space to include them all. It's my goal to include them as much as possible, but I would like to focus on fan favorites.

This poll asks about plot armor, in which certain characters will never die because they are integral to the plot. I have asked this question before but people's opinions change as the story progresses. I am guessing that most of you have at least tried the Part 3 test version, so you know that certain characters die, while others are immune to death. I would like to know your thoughts on the idea of plot armor.

I have seen on multiple platforms (Reddit, CoG forums, Discord) how fans of choice games prefer different types of games depending on the platform. I'm sure many of you buy official games from Choice of Games, Hearts Choice games, fan made games by Hosted Games, and Work-in-Progress (WIP) games. Just a quick note to say I will be posting the beta update by 4pm EST. It's not quite the end, but I'm getting very close.  Right now, I am tightening up some of the prose and testing the game to make sure it's playable.

Welcome to my 46th newsletter! This has been an extremely hectic month. Complications from my surgery landed me back in the hospital for a weekend, and I’m still dealing with some issues at home. As I come closer to the end of top Part 3, I am thinking once again about the idea of a time jump. When I see "time jump", I am referring to a passage of time in which I reveal changes in characters and discuss events that occurred. For example, changes to the environment, to the Junkyard, or even individual character development may occur outside of the game itself.

Zombie Exodus: Safe Haven scenario poll

At this stage of the game, between the core group (Jaime, Rachel, Brody, etc.) and the optional group members (Dante, Bailey, Woody), there could be up to 25 NPCs in the group. I've introduced scripted deaths in Part 2 and Part 3, but have introduced more characters that either automatically or optionally join the group. Health Update -- Getting better

If you read my post last week about my schedule, you will know I had emergency surgery. I will describe a little bit about the past week in my next newsletter, but all went well and I am finally home. Recovery will take some time. I will try not to slow down my schedule too much.
