i was busy with the her tears were my light steam release, so i didn't get to draw much outside of that... hmm... i might start doing request polls to give myself more of an excuse to draw things each month. lmk what you guys think 👀

valve approved my build!! so her tears will my light will be available on steam on the 28th as planned :)

i'm launching with 10 translations this time...! there are more in progress, so it's possible i could sneak a couple more in. but i figured this is a close-to-final build so it was time to share with you guys!

feature preview: htwml photo studio

finished all the art for this the other day!!! probably gonna change the button sounds and gonna tryyyy to add a gallery/album so you can view all the screenshots you take... might be too much work to get done on time though, so we'll see.

i love this feature since i can easily add more to it in future updates if i want ehehe. no promises, but if enough people comment on it when it comes out, i'll definitely be motivated to add more ;o

this was the first trailer i made all on my own (the previous ones i always hired someone to help me lol). i used OBS studio to capture my footage, and put it together in after effects cs6. definitely not a recommended workflow, it's just a program i'm pretty fam...

a long long time ago i wrote lyrics for the her tears were my light title theme for lydianchord so they could make an utau version, BUT i realized i had the power to make my own version now!!! so this is the song i'm using for the steam trailer i need to make :)

eleanor is so easy to tune... this is seriously the fastest i've ever finished a song. i hope i can make more like this in the future!!!!

august 2022 art post

i spent most of this month relaxing, since finishing treat 7 took a lot out of me. and by relaxing i mean still managing new translations for my games and updating my webcomic and working on her tears were my light steam release... but hey, i spent a lot of time playing video games with my partner too! so i consider that a successful break :)

dev diary: htwml gamepad-friendly UI

i'm productive again!!! this week i've been working on new and improved UI for her tears were my light, since i will be releasing it on steam by the end of next month :)

a lot of people on steam use controllers (more than i expected anyway!) so basically what i've been doing is adding all the little button images and making sure the menus are easy to navigate on d-pad. here's the result so far!

i downloaded the trial version of hatsune miku v4 english. did you know you can just DO that???? for the longest time i was like "man i don't know where to go to even GET miku, guess i'll keep using synth v for now" ...it turns out you can learn anything from youtube if you have the willpower!!!

not a ton this month since i've been focused on comics and treat assets haha

  • i've been playing atelier sophie 2, and i really love it. the first game ended up becoming my favorite atelier game of all time, and now the sequel is really hitting for me too... i love sophie!! this is my first time actually drawing her though because the character designs are so complicated in those games they feel a bit too tedious for me to draw XD i'll do it for the waifu tho.... sophie is so good.....
