Sign up to receive a holiday card!

This is the time of year to give thanks. And after an insane year, I couldn't be more thankful for all of your support over the past year. As an expression of gratitude, I want to send you a holiday card! I did this last year and it was a lot of fun. To make sure I get it to you this year, please message me with your address by Friday, December 11th. I ship internationally.

Thanks again!

Dave

Mid-summer channel update: life changes

Hello Patrons! Thank you as always for your support. Your continued commitment means I feel confident doing videos on topics like homelessness and school segregation, even though I know the YouTube algorithm and advertisers may not be as happy with the low interest/views.

I have a few life updates that will mean some changes for the channel that I wanted to brief you on:

1. I'm moving! Sacramento will no longer be in the background for "on location" shots. I'm going to miss ...

Do you live near an open/slow street?

Hi Patrons! I'm doing an upcoming video on the open streets and slow streets that cities are implementing to encourage social distancing. The idea is that streets are shut down to cars (except local traffic) and people on foot and on bikes can walk right in the car lanes and keep their distance. I'm trying my best to get footage or images of these streets, but unfortunately my city doesn't have an open streets program.

If you live in a city with open/slow streets and happen to use...

Spring (Pandemic) Update

Hi everyone,

I hope all of you are staying safe, distant, and healthy these days. I'm sure many of you are being hit hard by this emotionally, financially, and otherwise. As the governor of California says (repeatedly), "this is a moment in time." We'll get through it! That said, if you need to reduce or eliminate your Patreon pledge, please do so! I will be fine and I want you all to be fine, too.

Here are a few channel updates:
