Inktober day 31 - Genuaä Municipal Policer recon taedus Spider/crab-bio-bot.Something more old school manga and quick to cash out of the Inktober-ing. Officially the fork is in the "Inktober".
So, I did the whole damn month and all that jazz. I didn't do it to show off or so much to test myself. I do think the whole idea of doing this for a month to motivate drawing every day is very much a good thing as that's the spirit of Inktober. That said, ultimately I did Inktober this year just...

Inktober day 30 - Sendai (bio-mechanical) light spider tank pokes out of it's hiding place on Indus. Sneaky tank is sneaky. Guess I changed my mind, something a bit more involved but still belted out today. Guess with the whole Halloween thing... spiders... spider tank. Boom!
Inked with Bimoji, Copic, and Sharpie pens. Just the inks, gray scale, tones, or color version later.
Thank you for looking!
Inktober day 29 - Sendai wedge nose sportin' some, more old school style, screen tones. Winding down the Inktober madness with a few more quick pieces to wrap things up... unless I decide otherwise. Either way the month is pretty much over so there we have it, put a fork in it or some such.
Inked with Bimoji, Faber Castel, and Copic pens. Screen tones in Clip Studio Paint.
Thanks for looking!
Inktober day 28 - Another shifty sendai cat sportin' the turtle-head fashion action. Sneaky bio-mech is sneaky.
Inkted with Bimoji, Faber Castel, and Sharpie pens. Additional quick gray scale wash and screen tones in Clip Studio Paint.
Thanks for looking!
Inktober day 27 - Whispers of the Deep sendai criminal underground gangster fellow. The little cube things are swappable sensor packs.
Inked with Bimoji, Faber Castel, and Sharpie pens with additional screen tones in Clip Studio Paint.
Thank you for looking!
Inktober day 26 - Rahn Lagha ; Hudai (TKP cyborg) FOIL pilot character for Whispers of the Deep. A character I drew before in a little 2 panel piece I did last year https://www.deviantart.com/vulnepro/art/Wounds-of-Distance-755165375 when I was doodling Whispers ideas.
Inked with Bimoji and Sharpie pens.
Thanks for looking!
Inktober day 25 - Addi (Addisen) Evers; character for Whispers of the Deep. A character I drew before in a little 2 panel piece I did last year when I was doodling Whispers ideas.
https://www.deviantart.com/vulnepro/art/Wounds-of-Distance-755165375
Both of these characters will likely appear again in potential Whispers anthology shorts.
Inked with Bimoji ...
Inktober day 24 - Look Ma, I'm wearin' mai hat! Suspicious sendai dude with hat. At this point many of my fav go to pens are starting to give up the ghost due to Inktober orgy. Still plan to plow to the end though.
Inked with Bimoji and Sharpie with light digital gray scale wash and digital screen tone in Clip Studio Paint..

Inktober day 23 - Lupin the Third! (cue theme song here). Seeing I did Spike Spiegel I had to do one of the quintessential influences for Bebop, the legendary Arsène Lupin III. This one is based on various model sheet illos and screen caps from a Lupin the Third art book I have covering the early TV episodes (Miyazaki era, pre Cagliostro I think). Classic stuff.
Inked with Bimoji and Sharpie pens.
Thanks for looking!
Inktober day 22 - See you Space Cowboy...
I expect not much explanation needed :)
Inked with Bimoji and Sharpie.

Inktober day 21 - Turning his back on ALL the things, Crell has positively had it with humanity's confusing bullshit. To be fair, Crell hates his job; anal probes... not fun.
The ever perpetually pissed off Crell, from EBEJEEBIES, a limited run web comic my buddy Jeff Lilly and I did in 2004

Inktober day 20 - Just a little ATM-09-ST Scope Dog... scopin'... or somethin'. I just wanted to belt something out quick today so doing a little Votoms seemed like a fun thing to do.

Inktober day 19 - A really pissed off Gavil Messerkopf early 2nd gen combat FOIL ready to charge. Been itchin' to get to stuff like this so Inktober seemed a good excuse to jump on it.
Posted later in the eve for obvious reasons, I belted this out today with the inky pens and then dropped a quick and dirty digital gray scale paint wash post scan. I didn't do much as to edits but I'll likely clean this one up further later for additional pieces, color, etc which will certainly end up her...

Inktober day 18 - Sendai grifter Munn from the Whispers of the Deep. Munn survived an explosion that made him a bit not right in the head so he's a magnet for trouble. He is the partner of conman grifter sendai Bune in haphazard crime and misadventures. Just the slightest edits digitally but otherwise the raw inks.
Bune included in post, he's the little shifty guy in monochrome.
Inked with Bimoji, Faber Castel, Copic, and Sharpie pens.
Thanks for looking!

Inktober day 16 Jeindel Gavil F115-5 EVO Strumgeist. After doing several fan art homage mecha pieces I had to return to one of my own original designs. A 5th gen version of the Strumgeist FOIL that has appeared in my galleries before. As with the last two Zeon mecha this guy got a digital gray scale paint wash but the inks are pretty much unedited.
Inked with Bimoji, Faber Castel, Copic, and Sharpie pens with some light digital gray scale paint wash.
Thanks for looking!
Inktober day 15 - Sieg Zeon!
MS-06F/J Zaku Mobile Suit Gundam. Probably one of the most iconic and recognizable mecha designs ever, Kunio Okawara's Zaku remains a classic. I used several model images for ref on this guy so it's panel details are similar-ish to the Real Grade kits. I just thought those kits had the nicest distribution of detail overall; not too much, not to little.
Also, seeing the Inktober prompt today (not really trying to use them obviously) I see ...

Inktober day 14 - AMS-119 Geara Doga from Char's Counterattack. Another Yutkaka Izubuchi mecha classic and one of the coolest grunt MS suits. Always loved the look of this suit and all it's variants. Thought it would look nice to add a quick and sloppy digital gray scale wash but, otherwise it's all the raw traditional inks.
Inked with Bimoji, Faber Castel, Copic, and Sharpie pens with some light digital gray scale wash.

Inktober day 13 - Classic Macross/Robotech VF-1A Battroid. I didn't have a lot of time today to do one of these so this one is the quicki-est of the bunch. The chest has a bit of wonk but, overall it came out OK, it was the head that was the focus anyway.
Naturally, droppin' some love for Macross... and, Macross,
Nuff said.

Inktober day 12 - Mobile Police Patlabor Ingram-98.
Yutaka Izubuchi's iconic Ingram-98 police labor will always be one of the classic mecha designs for me. The Patlabor series (TV, OAV, and the films) has always been a fav of mine. Used a toy and various model sheet art for ref but, overall, pushed it toward the model sheet look more than the toy.
Inked with Bimoji, and Sharpie pens with some minor digital clean ups.

Inktober day 11 - Finally, to round out the Knight Sabers set here's a quick Linna hardsuit illo. This one's more or less based on one of the model sheet illos.
I haven't drawn any BGC fan art literally since the early 90s so it was fun doing these. I've always really dug the design work in BGC, even with the obvious influence from Blade Runner BGC still stands on it's own quite well.
What I find I love about these designs is they are simple, elegant, and straight up ...

Inktober day 10 - There will be blood!
Whispers of the Deep: Blood Wake character Brother Tseto; owner of Good 'n' Drink sendai diner and retired gangster. His rods, on the side of his head, are sensor packs that can be swapped out.
Inked with Bimoji, and Copic pens with some additional digital edits and clean ups. I also added a digital gray scale paint wash in Clip Studio Paint. This guy, with the heavy noir blacks, seemed apt for it.

Inktober day 9... Another TKP oddball sendai beastie. Inked with Bimoji, Copic, and some dying Berol Prismacolor markers. The marker was originally color but looked far better converted to gray scale.
I have a ton of Berol and Tria markers from all the way back to the early 90s. Quite a few of them still work but, naturally, a lot of them are on their way out. The markers I used on this illo seemed to have some ink left when I started but died out pretty soon after, thus gray scale it...
Inktober day 8 - Continuing to finish the BGC hardsuit set with a quickie Nene illo. Used a screen pause of my Blu-ray copy to do this one because I wasn't finding enough decent ref of her suit. It's roughly reffed from a Scoop Chase shot because that episode will always be Nene's and was always awesome.
Inked with Bimoji, and Copic pens. Some additional minor digital edits and clean ups but still primarily the raw inks.

Inktober day 7 - TKP smokin' sendai dude, just kinda chillin'.
Inked with Bimoji, and Copic pens. Some additional minor digital edits and clean ups but still primarily the raw inks.
Seeing I am still doing these (may do the entire month, may not. Guess I'll see how far I go with them) I should note I will be doing color versions of some, if not all, of these and posting the full res versions here as future rewards for the paid tier folks.
Always, thanks for looking!
Inktober day 6 - TKP Polemon (spider) tank driver gal. Stompy, stompy, pew, pew!
Inked with Bimoji, and Copic pens.

Inktober day 4... Polemon Hudai (TKP cyborg) FOIL squad commander guy lookin all uniform dress dapper. Inked with Bimoji, Faber Castell, and Sharpies.
While I'm sharing all 2019 Inktober posts as public, for all to see, there's still a ton of Patreon only posts and works up here for those considering lending some support. If you dig work like this examples like this are just the tip of the iceberg.
Thanks for looking!
Inktober day 3... Sendai Pothead, or... pottery head. Been meaning to do some more sketches of these type of sendai dudes, Aztec, Inca, Mayan inspired pottery shaped noggin guys. His dome is a bit off but that's OK, just trying to belt these out and be done. We'll see how many of these Inktober delios we can do this year.
Inked with Bimoji, Faber Castell, and Sharpies
And, of course, anyone droppin' in for a peek, please do take a look 'round and consider becoming a patreon :)
Inktober day 2 quick illo of Bubblegum Crisis's Priss in hardsuit gear. Inked with Bimoji, Copic, Faber Castell, and Sharpie pens.
Also wish prolific anime creator Shinji Aramaki a very Happy Birthday today so this is also in honor of his work!
