I was hopeful they would, and their message, though about a full week too late, seems to properly understand the issue at least.

I've been busy and there's a fair few new patrons about so I thought I'd post a little update.

I (or perhaps more accurately, Parker) now have an Instagram account! It's nothing that won't be in the monthly Parker picture albums (and most pictures will still be Patreon album exclusive), but it's a more up-to-date way to see Parker and it'll be almost pure Parker unlike my Facebook or Twitter feeds.

I actually recorded this one a couple weeks ago during the/a peak of the whole Alex Mauer crapshow. I just wrote the Alex Mauer Timeline later that same day, and ended up not publishing the video (one video on that debacle a day was more than enough.)

Despite this being a stupid test stream with major bitrate issues (this is my local copy so it's actually fine), this was pretty fun so I thought I'd at least post it here for my Patreons.

tl;dr: ads bad, more people donating on Patreon means less (and eventually no!) ads on my stuff!
For a while I've pondered how to work ad removal into my Patreon; it's a fiddly issue since as popularity rises, so does ad income; taping down an exact price is very hard. But I've always prefered the Patreon method and would prefer voluntary contributions with no ads, and I think I've found a good inbetween solution without too much work for either party.
