Hey, a quick post here. I've decided to start streaming the things I (try to) draw and animate on Picarto. I think I should avoid to get expectations too high, so now is a good moment to say that you should know I'm no expert artist (though I think that's easy to deduce with my works :P). Hey, just some sort of a teaser, here is the Amazon and one of the first enemies already detailed. This is my first time detailing a muscle lady... or even a dude I think, and when I was doing it like I usually do with hard shadows I wasn't too happy with the look I was getting so I switched to softer shadows and liked it quite a bit so I did the mouse girl the same way (and will be the style for this game). Well, the Amazon crushed every poll I made, so, starting the tests with Amazon it is. :D
I've been tinkering with ideas and scripts and so far I think RPG Maker MV will do just fine. I've already a pretty good idea of how I want the battle system to work and seems I'll be able to make it. Well, I have good news and bad news.
The good news is that I finally finished the demo of Sexonomicon using VX Ace pretty close as I had on the MV version. In fact, I think it looks even better with Victor's lightning script.
The bad news is that I'm pretty sure it didn't help at all with the performance problems the MV version had, and again, if this is only with 1 short and 1 long animation then it doesn't look good at all for the full version (12 animations total)

So, I thought that I could see the change to VX Ace as an opportunity to start making the maps as parallax images, making them creepier and less blocky. But as I was making the Attic (the one in the image) I realized it may cause problems with any lighting systems I may want to apply. Yes, that's another thing I realized.
