Well, I've got the words done a little earlier today!
I love Phil's sleepy pig ingots here. I wanted them shaped like little frogs, but Phil pointed out that "pigs" is more appropriate.

Today I got to go to the doctor to have an EKG to make sure I wasn't having a heart attack. Spoiler, I wasn't. I'm a bit jumpy though, it's what killed my dad, so chest twinges bother me.

Emerald City Comic Con was great! (Or so I'm told, I stayed home and worked on other things all weekend.) Everyone is tired but they seemed to have had a good time. Phil brought me a shiny thing to hang in the window, so I'm happy. It's shaped like a moon and made of some kind of man-made stuff that catches the light and makes it practically glow rainbow colors. It's pretty neat!

While I'm lettering these pages, I think a lot about writers like Neil Gaiman who write up their scripts and then send them off to someone else to draw and letter. I'm terrifically impressed by their ability, I can't imagine how they do it. (In Mr. Gaiman's case, I'm impressed by a whole lot more than his ability to script without pictures in front of him, but he's the one who comes to mind the most because I like him.)

Hello! We did the 5K walk, in the snow as it turns out. It was very nice and a chance to enjoy the snow (it wasn't very bad and the trail was clear) and try out the Yaktrax cleats I ordered during our last ice storm. The verdict is that the Yaktrax are amazing. I spent a lot of the walk slightly off the cleared track walking in the snow both to stay well out of the way of the speedier racers and to play in the snow. We don't get a lot of snow around here.

This weekend I'm going to do a 5K walk, I hope it doesn't snow on us! (It did snow a little this morning.) It was mostly a boring day, lots of work to do but none of it very interesting to tell about. The most exciting thing we did all day was give Jim the snake a mouse. He was very happy, so a happy snake is a good day I guess.

Happy Valentine's Day everyone! This page had to be completely re-written for reasons, so it was another of those writing challenges that is kind of fun because writing with very specific requirements can be fun, and kind of awful because of deadlines. The best part is that the next page is totally fine and already lettered (it just needs the balloons) so the requirements really were very specific.
Once this is up I'm going to take my Pikmin for a walk while the sun is out, just in case...

Hello again!
Here in Seattle we've been having that little bit of Spring weather where I run around in shirtsleeves even if it's actually still on the edge of too cold.
I'm almost to Rivendell in my walking to Mordor, just got chased across the river by a bunch of very unfriendly horsemen. I slowed down a lot when the days got colder and shorter, but I'm picking up again.

My Mom and I went out yesterday and walked around the track at the local school a bunch of times. She wanted to test the accuracy of her pedometer, and she wanted to try out her new walking poles. Holey moley, January is almost over and I still need to do the monthly update on the Kickstarter page.
This weekend we actually left the house! There was a little Lunar New Year celebration in the yard of one of the local elementary schools, so we went out and watched lion dancers and ate dumplings. The sky was mostly clear and sunny, so the actual moon even put in an appearance. So...happy year of the Rabbit, everyone! May it be a good one.

Ugh, I'm running late again.
Today I went to my first martial arts lesson in almost two years and I'm kind of wiped out. I had some health things that made me stop, and then I was busy and just kept putting off the going back. You know, I had this almost finished on Sunday night, and it took me this long to get the last few pieces of dialog finished. Well, it's done now, so I can get back to the other things that are chewing on me. My main work drive has started to die, it turns out it was actually six years old (nooo! The capacity of one book shelf, when full of office supplies, paperwork, and random goblin treasure, is astonishing. It looks small but clearing it off seems endless.
