Yep! Another TS4 pack. This one being Eco Lifestyle, the ninth full expansion to the game and like, I dunno, overall pack number 173 or whatever. I can't imagine there are too many more expansions left for the game at this point in the game's lifecycle, but honestly who knows.
I also made an LGR Plays video ab...

WELP. Guess it's been a while since I did a donations unboxing video, huh. I'd initially planned to do this back in March but well, a certain pandemic kind of interfered with my whole package retrieval process. And honestly? It just didn't have me in the best of moods for a while. I'm doing much better lately though after a series of changes to my routine, and finally felt up to recording ...

So this one's been in the works for a while! At least in the sense that I've been messing around with arcade PCBs in my spare time for most of 2020. If you follow the LGR Twitter, you've no doubt seen a number of these boards on there as video snippets. No emulation here, this all about playing classic arcade boards through a TV or monitor! JAMMA SuperGuns, interface converters, RG...

Got quite the special item to share with you this time! One of my holy grail devices for the PC: the Creative Labs 3DO Blaster card from late 1994.
Yep, a proper 32-bit game console packed onto an ISA expansion card, which combined with a specific CD-ROM drive lets you play 3DO games within Windows 3.1! Absolutely bonkers to experience, just a rare treat in many respects. I've tried...

Yep, wasn't sure if I'd be making a video about this or not since modern machines aren't the usual LGR fare. But I recorded the whole process anyway just in case, then decided to go through with it after receiving the encouragement from you here on Patreon and over on Tw...

Greetings, folks! I hope that you've had a decent week out there. Either way, I've got another LGR laptop retrospective for ya right here!
Say hello to the Packard Bell Statesman (and Statesman Plus!) from 1994. Essentially a Zenith Z-Star 433 series in disguise, the Statesman is a halfway enjoyable machine that falls short in a variety of ways. And in my opinion, it's all the more ...

So yeah, for the most part I try to only take stuff that I know I can feature on LGR and avoid taking in computers in an unknown state. But that's exactly how I received these IBM 5162s a while ago now -- both in unknown condition and...

Edutainment in April! It continues.
This week it's Gizmos & Gadgets from 1993. Robochimps, electric cars, and aircraft, oh my. It's one of those educational titles that's easily stood the test of time, despite its shortcomings with repetitious puzzles and such.
If you've got any memories of this one from the 90s, lemme know! The game's a source of seemingly never-ending happiness for me.

Greetings, all! It's the time of year for a bit of edutainment on LGR once again, kicking off with Where in Time Is Carmen Sandiego from 1989. The fifth main game in the franchise and one that shook up the formula to an enjoyable degree. Still holds up nicely. It spawned its own TV game show, too!
On the broader topic of edutainment though, I've made the decision to not cover only edutainment throughout the entire month this year. Partly due to lack of interest on my ...
