Patreon 2025 update (mobile presets, pricing, postcards)

Hello! <3

We're 10 days into 2025 - I hope you've been good so far! In this video I want to give you a little update. Instead of writing it all in a long post that you probably don't feel like reading anyway, I thought it would be better to have a brief chat with you so that you can just listen to me while doing something else.

In case you just want the quick summary, here it is written down anyway:

1. All my old posts with a LR-preset now include a .dng file for Lightroo...

New year, new me, new you?

Hello and happy new year! :)

I hope you're doing well and got a good start to 2025. In this little update post I want to address just a couple things including one question for you :D

First of all, I want to say thank you, thank you so much for the massive support here on Patreon, I am so so grateful! I'm so happy that all the work I've been putting into this project here over the past 2,5 years is resonating with you and can be of value to you in some way or another.

December Preset: Yoyogi Faders

Hello and happy new year! <3

I hope you've had a lovely end of the year and could start off 2025 feeling fresh :D

I got to visit my family, spend some time at home again and see some old friends, because we're all back in our hometown for once haha. And then the last couple of days I was back in the studio reeeally busy working on that 2024 wrap-up video because I wanted to get that out before the year ended :)

So, finally, I got around to catching up with the Patreon con...

November Preset: Dark tones of Tokyo

For the month of November (apologies for the delay!!) I decided to craft a very moody look that you can apply to your photos. This look is based on a couple photographs I shot in Tokyo on a rainy day. There are so many fun ways to enhance the look of a rainy photo and one of them is exaggerating the dramatic atmosphere of the rain by toning the image quite darkly.

This preset will darken the shot and add a lot of contrast by pushing down especially the shadows. Shadow details will be lo...

November Update.

Hello hello and happy December!

I hope you've been well and had a joyful month of November. I've been busy with my return to Austria and just finished the last video for the month.

Unfortunately I was not able to squeeze in the work for the November preset and Patreon-video, so those will be coming soon, but give me a little time please :,)

I did get around to designing the next three postcards and ordered them. So if you're subscribed to the postcards you'll be getting some...

September LR-Preset: Asagaya

Hello hello! :)

I hope you're well and have enjoyed a splendid September. It's time for an update and of course this month's LR-preset.

September for me was really cool. Two friends came to visit in Tokyo and we went on two day-trips and a photography walk in the city.

I finished the last Scotland video and began working on the first episode of the new season of Japan videos, which you might have already seen (posted about a week ago). It felt a bit odd editing the Scotland ...

July Patreon Update!

Hello hellooo! I just want to pop in for a moment to give you an update on this month's Patreon content. I'm so sorry, but it's coming a little late :,((

I've already shot the Patreon video, but the edit isn't finished. Similar situation with the Lightroom preset. The issue is that I've been non-stop working on a big project since returning to Austria after my week with the family in Scotland.

I'm honoured to be working with Polaroid again! :) However the deadline we're trying to ...

An introduction to the Patreon page.

Hello and welcome to my Patreon! :)

To all Patrons who've been here for a while: You will know most of this, but I wanted to make an introduction video for the newcomers, because now that the Patreon page has been maturing for quite some time, it can be a little overwhelming at first. I'm pinning this video at the top of my page, so that this is the first thing new subscribers get to see.

So in case you're new here: Hi, I'm so happy to welcome you here. Thank you so much for your ...

June LR Preset: Warm evenings type look

Hello hello,

June is already over eh? Well that went very fast, for me at least. In mid-June I went on a hiking adventure with a friend, which was going to become a video. This past week now I was very busy finishing up that video, which you might have spotted on YouTube already by now :D

The past weeks have been very work-focused and so are the next two months going to be. I'm travelling to Scotland in two weeks to visit my family up north. So I will be taking a couple days off t...

May LR Preset: Fuji FURUI 400

Hello! I hope you've all had a decent May! <3

Mine was pretty cool. Started with meeting a couple old friends and then had mostly a lot of work to do throughout the month. I was working on the videos of course, but also on the short film I shot back in February. I finally began editing and have made some progress, but I'm far from finished... maybe around 45%. However I now have different work that is more pressing, so I'm afraid this is still going to take a while.

Also I'm so...

February Preset: The Rattenberg Preset

March is around the corner, so time for February's Lightroom preset! I've decided to derive a preset from the photographs I showed you in my recent video in which I visited Austria's smallest town, Rattenberg.

For these photos I went for a stylish, yet not super stylised look with a touch of film-like colour grading. This preset gives you subtly warmed shadows and a bit of a cool off of the highlights. As you might recall from the video, I was constantly shooting in the shade, hence my ...

January Preset: Expired DM Paradies 200

We're coming close to the end of January and so it's time for another preset. For this month I've decided to make a simulation of the very first 35mm film I ever shot - DM Paradies 200.

DM is just the normal drug store here in Austria and they used to sell consumer film and currently still offer film development. Back in the early 2000s when film was still the norm for many people DM had their own brand of film in stock called DM Paradies 200.

A couple years ago when I decided to ...
