Since the commissioner's order was about to getting art in flat colours, the current image can be count as final art. I'm not going to draw any shading or other volume effects for this scene.

Phew, finally first piece is done! I almost forgot how is hard to draw Sarah OC, because of her slimy texture. All this gooey shining and light refraction... this is a r...

Hey! Who threw the purple goo into the pool water?
🌑 🌑 🌑
Still not the final verse! I will have to do lighting & shading next, before I will able to count this artwork fully finished. Also this mini-sequle would be a great returning of Scott OC! I have to draw him even more rare than Sarah character, mostly because I was busy with my commission drawings during the all of my free time.

The great returning of Sarah. Yeah, it's been a while since the last time I draw any scene with this goo shark, and according to the feedback from the first published draft of this scene, many people have missed this purple fish already!
So, here she is!
Oh well, because of the folds, the linework has become more complex than I expected in the beginning. Anyway, the most routine part of the job is done... or maybe not? Shading and lighting also doesn't promising that the further stages will be easy.
This scene took only 2 full workdays of my free time for finishing.
Now moving up next according to my drawing queue. I hope to finish more arts to the end of this month, but let's see how it will go on.

Hm, I have no idea what to say.
Comparing to my previous arts with this theme, I think there is must be visible progress with my drawing skills, which become a bit better with a passed years. At least I learned a few tricks what I used for this scene when I did lighting & shading, and what I used very rare with my previous artst. From other hand, I can't be totally sure if it really has any good progress for my artstyle or not.
The more clear and fair answer to this question I c...

Yep, perhaps when this art will be done, it will contain more than one verse, just to show some process of capturing.
But for now I will take a pause with this piece and get back to my another unfinished art, which I plan to finish tomorrow.
Definitely friendly... and safe!

Oh no, it's back!
In general, I hadn't a lot of enthusiasm to return for drawing Symbiosa plants again, but since I still have a couple position with this theme in my commission (debt) list, drawing it again was a matter of time. Usually I prefer to stay away from this species not only because it has a lot of details, but also because of transparency effect, which always means that I will have to draw MORE details behind the transparent layers too (and it also brings more mess with laye...

One more commission is done.
I didn't though that most annoying part of work with this piece, will be the drawings bubbles (yeah, cause it's too many of them!). Not sure if I will draw any other similar underwater scene so soon.

Honestly, this piece was an experiment for me, and I wouldn't call it easy.
While the sketching, lining and coloring was mostly the same, the stage where I draw shadows and lighting has been a totally different case.
Getting this effect was really hard for me, because this was a totally new method of drawing shadows that I have never used before for my artstyle. B...

I think I've got some news to share, but (what a surprise), I have no idea from what to start even. Mostly because I didn't have the will for regular writings here, cause I always get tired at the end of my workday, and all the small amount of my free time I get is spent on drawings, instead of typing any text-spam for my social accounts. From other hand, as an artist I must provide any feedback to peopl...

Instead of making cell-shading, what is usual fro my artsyle, this time I choose to try some new methods with soft-shading instead. From this practice I already can tell that this is a bit more harder way to draw shadows. It's much more time consuming, but the final result worth for the all efforts.

I must say that this shark character has a very complex colour patterns.
Details like this, always makes the whole art more complex for me to draw: many lines, many colours, patterns, and I'm sure there will be a big amount of work with shading on it later.
But I don't complain much. Just want you to know what amount of work stands behind every such kind of scene and why I publish new arts here not so often as any other commission artists.

Huh, that was a complex one! So many details for lining.
DRAFT 🔵 FLAT COLOURS 🔵 FINAL ART
Colors!
Yeah, setting colors is very simple and quick stage of drawings, but I just can not do not share it, cause it already turns out very nicely.
This piece has some specific context behind, what I plan to explain later when I will publish the final verse of this pinup art with some related news.
But for now you can just enjoy with this lining & posing!
