Snaiad - Brontophis - old and new

Here are old and new renditions of Brontophis - a giant, herbivorous snake-like form, from the ongoing Snaiad project. The B&W renditions appeal to me so much that I may not colour them at all? What do you think? Which version is better?

As always, thanks for making Snaiad - as well as my other projects - possible!

Snaiad sneak preview - name this creature!

Welcome, new patrons!
Here is the work sketch of an abyssal, "vertebrate" macropredator from Snaiad.
Although it looks like a jetocete, this animal is from a different clade that only uses muscular propulsion.
I want to choose the scientific name of this beast from suggestions in Patreon.
What do you think we should call it?
Best,

A glossary of scientific names for Snaiad

Hi all! I'm  compiling a massive list of root-words for scientific names on Snaiad -  my upcoming book for life on an alien planet. (SEE ATTACHMENT) Alongside the usual  Greek-and-Latin root words, I'm also taking all sorts of words from  Near-Eastern languages Lycian, Phrygian, Cappadocian Greek,  Proto-Turkic, Carian, Hittie & the lot - so that animals can walk  around with cool scientific names like Melanoroshotor, Çynoargnathos...

"Beneath a Thousand Suns" - my discontinued giant fantasy novel

Patrons can now read the entirety of my draft of "Beneath a Thousand Suns" - an aborted fantasy novel project.

This was going to be a Jack Vance-style 1000+page saga about an immortal wanderer walking through an endless, Dyson-sphere-like realm. In the end, it fractalled out of control, and I realised writing short stories was more fun.

Enjoy - and please do not share without permission!

Snaiad: Colour study and sketches for a new clade

Here is a detailed colour study and a few initial sketches for Muppajiiformes - a group of swamp-dwelling omnivores with low-metabolisms... These animals make up for their slow mobility with long, dexterous tongues, which coil back into their barrel-like chests.

The new Snaiad book will likely have 4-5 distinct Muppajiiforme clades fully illustrated.

Snaiad: Asking your input for colouring/shading styles

Dear patrons,
I'm in a bit of a pickle over rendering finalised images for the upcoming Snaiad book.

Long story short: I can do images in full-colour, but that would mean re-colouring nearly 200 images already prepared in a more subtle traditional black-and-white pencil shading...

What do you think? Please let me know of your thoughts in the comments.

Cheers,

Memo
