Half Way Through a Script About Shostakovich

Hey all. A bit of an update. April/May was always going to be the busiest months of the year for me due to multiple stacking deadlines.

This has had a bit of an impact on my YouTube output, which I'm aware of. Apologies about that. However, I should be over the hump soon. I've got two new pieces almost written (hence two videos about them) and I'm also getting close to beginning my editing work on a video about Shostakovich - specifically the things he does musically, which I love.

Hey guys, so I thought I'd give an update about what's happening with the channel.

After the MuseScore video came out, a few new things popped up. The first thing I'm working on is a joint video being led by David Bruce, where we (along with other YouTubers: Adam Neely, Nahre Sol & Ben Levin) write a 1 minute piece of music for a chamber ensemble. I'll be filming that in London in May and David will hopefully be releasing it shortly afterwards.

MuseScore Out in a Few Hours

Really sorry about the delay. I just wasn't happy with the editing and had to go back and redo some of it last night.

I'm currently rendering the final edit while writing summaries & making thumbnails.

This video is officially the most time-consuming and difficult of any I've made. The good news is that the worst is over and I'm entering into the final editing / cleaning-up phase. It's going to be a long video, so this is only a tiny portion of it. I'd say it'll be another 7-10 days before I'm done.

This video is an utter nightmare to put together. I'm over the hump now - with just a bit of editing to do before I'm done. Seriously - I would never have expected software reviews to be so hard and time-consuming. I'll give a few more updates over the weekend. I've got some pretty intense imagery for this one :)

Upcoming Software Review: MuseScore!

Hey. So, our Augmented Reality video is doing well, although we're finding that adding in all the necessary art is a really big job so we're taking our time with it. And since I don't want to hold up the channel behind this, I began a new Audio Software video last week.

Update On My AR Music Project

Hi guys. So this is another render test I completed to figure out how 'exposition' type stuff can be visualised.

It's a really fascinating project because each of the 4 artists on it are all working independently and we haven't yet combined our work. By the time this is done, there'll be a ludicrous amount of stuff floating around. We're trying to go for a 'chaotic, future-internet' feel.

YouTube Knows Me Now

Hey guys, thought I might message you again to let you know how things are doing with the channel. In short, the last week has been nuts.

First, my Sibelius video is growing very nicely. It's easily the most successful I've ever released and has resulted in all the competing notation apps getting in touch to offer press support. It's the first time my channel has been taken seriously.

New Project I'm Working On

So, I've decided to do a different format for my next video. It's going to be a look at what I think we can expect our experience of music to be like when Augmented Reality is properly solved (ie: everything is 3D scanned and devices are small enough to wear without looking foolish).

Finally About To Hit The Big 10K

Hey Guys, 

The Sibelius video is shaping up to do pretty well. I got 10,000 views today alone! In about an hour or two, I'll finally pass into the classification of a 'small' (but legit) YouTube channel.

Teaser for my new Eurovision video

Hey Patreonisers! 

It's been a crap few months, with both my kids getting really sick and then me getting sick too. But all that's over now and I can get back to dedicating myself to all things Tantacrul.

I've a bit of pent up rage to get rid of, so I decided to pause my other ongoing project in order to focus on this year's Eurovision.
